Peter waited for Nokia to stand up and move away from the cockpit before getting up himself, noticing that her gaze was fixed solely on his the entire time. It should have unnerved him, but for some reason, it didn't. At least he still had some courage left in that broken heart of his.
"I sure hope the rest of the crowd is as much fun as you are. Today has already exceeded my expectations, thank you very much"
Peter didn't answer at first. They hadn't gotten intimate out of pity or as a favour to one another, so Peter didn't feel the need for either of them to say sorry. It was only when he considered the possibility that she was taking pity on him that he changed his mind, realising that he should in fact say something if he wanted to see his Katya again.
"So ... anything you want to say ... or do, before we leave this trip to our memories? Anything?"
"Oh and if you want to smack me through the wall for that last thing, feel free! I probably deserve it!"
Peter stopped, clearing his throat before speaking.
"Thank you. I did not think i would ever see Katya again. What we did, what you did; I appreciate it. I am in your debt."
