Gladiator vs WW Hulk (slugfest)

Started by kgkg21 pages

t makes lesser powered characters an actual challenge against higher powered characters in the comics. Examples of PIS include Flash stories lasting longer than three panels, or Toy Man as a threat to Superman.
For quanchi112 that's why I was using flash and the three panel reference.

The above quote says it's OK to ignore what is shown in comics if the character does not utilize his powers.

What does flash have to do with it? Go read the rules it pretty much says it's OK to ignore what is shown in comics if character does not use his abilities - That's what we call PIS

🙂

We don't ignore what's in character. Where are your examples?

Doesn't matter. Gladiator beats WWH, without using his speed, in a slugfest, too.

Based on what?

Feats of striking power and durability based on other feats and how he handled the blows of Savage Hulk when they fought. Also, better MA skill.

It's not in flash character to finish his comics in 3 panels also.

Now answer my question or don't reply.

So freakin what? Striking feats really don't on their own override direct matchups. This is a slugfest. Both guys stand there and pound on each other until the other man goes down. That means the Hulk will continually grow stronger with each blow. This is a sonning.

Glads was almost killed by a few masterson hammer shots to the head. Hulk has taken on Thor for over an hour even with Thor trying to kill him and Hulk was fine.

Hulk stomps here.

LOL. The rules clearly state the more powerful character. I will dispute this. You have to prove Gladiator's superiority here. Glads has went down and quite quickly before to inferior opponents.

You are just showing off a bias like never before seen. I will not ignore the Hulk's win over Gladiator.

I'm not asking you to. 🙂

Then how is Gladiator superior to the Hulk?

Speed , Strength , Vision , Flying , Other powers etc etc.

Good. So use the 'freakin' direct matchup and realize that Hulk's sucker punches and cheap shots didn't even phase Gladiator. Glads will wreck him in a slugfest or with full use of their powers.

What're you talking about? Gladiator embarrassed Masterson before the Living Lightning PIS.

That was after he transformed into the Maestro and was a walking Nexus of Realities, growing in power.
Hulk continually gets stronger and his healing factor will also even this fight out. Hulk already showed us easy it is to use the hv against Gladiator. Glads is more versatile, but I don't like his odds.

Slugfest...I keep going back to the WWH/Sentry fight. I know a lot of people disagree but we should take that into consideration.

That was just the first few punches. No, he won't. This is is WW Hulk anyways. He'll eat him for breakfast.

The point is he couldn't sustain more than a few hammer shots. He practically killed him. Hitting Hulk with Thor's hammer just makes him madder and more powerful. Hulk has lasted longer with the real Thor after taking a beating.

He was still a merged Hulk. Thor also went into berserker mode. Hulk can definitely take more punishment than Gladiator imo. It's due to his healing abilities and his growing strength.

Sentry is much more powerful than Gladiator and WW Hulk had already accomplished his objectives. The moment something else pissed him off he surpassed all prior levels.

Honestly, I'm not convinced on Sentry's overall power. Handbooks and Dark Reign files would support him being very powerful but his run the past 12-24 months has been meh.

It's because of his fragile pysche. When he goes all out he is quite formidable imo.

The mystery around Sentry should be revealed

Anyhoo...WWH wins wins wins wins 😛

Hulk would punch out Gladiator.

It's not like he haven't kicked middle and high herald lvler ass before. And it's not like that he he haven't beat up Glad before too.
