Hey all,Had a chance to put about 10 or so hours into this brand new game. All in all I give it a 9. The graphics are a small step up from it's predecessor. Content is much like the first, though with new added effects which set it apart from he first. Such as weather, which can add a hurried feel as you run through areas with limited visibility. The AI is the same, though with the addition of a few new special monsters. Each with a unique ability and different tactics to fight them.I found the campaigns longer, and considerably more challenging to play. Often time playing on normal difficulty feels like play a higher ifficulty back from L4D 1.Only bug I myself have run into is when the special known as the "tank" appears I get some frame skips, when he is killed it all goes back to normal.Valve has promised to fix this and some other bugs in the next patch. The only part I found less than inspiring were the characters. Just did not feel the "Unique" feel of the first. All in all, it's a worth while play in my opinion. I can be PM'd with any specific questions about the game.
Take care all and happy hunting!
I have to agree about the new survivors... Ellis is an annoying red-neck. Nick's pretty cool though. The only one I like playing with as a matter a fact.

They should the horrible AI.It was good in the first game but this game your AI partners almost make the game unplayable.
Indeed. The AI in the first L4D were much, much smarter. In scavenger mode, I could run up to 3 AI as a Hunter (standing right in front of them), and they wouldn't react to me at all unless I scratched one of them with my claw or pounced on 'em, whereas the L4D1 AI would have killed me right on the spot.

I played this last night, through the "swamp fever" level. I enjoyed it. Though the survivors this time around are annoying, they should have implemented the classic 4some again this time around.
Agreed. Here's to hoping Francis, Louis, Bill, and Zoey for DLC one day.

The melee weapons are AWESOME though, I love using the cricket bat.
And I love using the ninja sword, though sadly, you'll find yourself having to rely on them a lot less on expert thanks to the friendly fire/damage.
Also, anyone wanna work together with me to get Strength in Numbers sometime? It's the one that requires up to four human players in Team Versus or Scavenge and you just win a game. They have to be people on your friends list too; you can't make Team Versus/Scavenge a public game where random people can join.
Just need that and the expert achievements, which I'm saving for last/some other time.
And Dark Carnival is easily the best campaign of the game IMO.
