Left 4 Dead 2

Started by Zack Fair18 pages

Played some games with Ridley Prime doing some glitches to net The Real Deal and Still something left to prove. Although I didn't get any of them it was nice to see it work in person instead of a youtube clip.

Hey Prime couldn't help but notice you got 1000/1000 achievements in Left 4 Dead 2. Props.

BTW if I don't talk that much when in a game it is because my english ain't that fluent, so I rather think my stuff through before shouting random nonsense. Plus since I've been using the Astros its hard to hear people with all the loud sounds in L4D2...but I can't stop using them because the atmosphere increases tenfold with them.

pfft, damn dirty cheaters 😛

lol

There is no way I'm doing all of them on expert! I'm too lazy woot

Ah, okay. It's cool. I was kinda wondering why you didn't speak much, but I guess that explains it.
And I apologize about that Knight Rider187 guy's attitude, with him yelling at you and stuff, like when you couldn't get that Hunter off of him soon enough during freakin' Realism mode 😂 (some people on Live just overreact/get excited way too easily, ya know?). Was kind of an awkward moment for me too, as I was tryin' to calm down everyone when he kept complaining about that level... >.>

That aside though, I don't mind helping ya get The Real Deal, Still Got Something To Prove, and other stuff next time we're both on, especially now that Knight Rider got those expert achievements too (thank god), so I won't be playing with him as much now.

And yeah, I was the first one I knew (ironically) to get 1000 gamerscore in L4D2. 😛 Couldn't of done it without Rage's help in glitching the Expert ones though, but everything else was a piece of cake after awhile which I got myself, aside from the achievement where you have to win a game of Team Versus/Scavenge online.
Out of curiosity JaNx, how did you find those expert glitches in the first place? Through someone else, or did you just happen to discover them when fooling around with the game one day? Either way, glad that you knew about 'em. Sure beats doing expert the old fashioned like I did in the first L4D (lots of patience wasted at the end of the day, teammates ragequitting during the finale when you need them most, etc).

LoL to be honest my controller fell from my hand which is why I stopped shooting the hunter and stuff. Its funny how achievements make people try so hard to get them. I didn't mind him because it reminded me of how I must have sounded when beating the campaigns for the 1st time. Got a bit frustrated on carnival lol.

You guys always leave out the black guy.

rofl.

Lets schedule a time for us to game. I can play nonstop during the night. In the day I play in short bursts.

It's cool, I may actually be without internet for the next few days sadly. I can be on tonight if I go to a friend's house.

Yeah.. Then again, it's not like there's anything else to unlock in L4D/2 besides achievements. >.>

Ironically, that was my favorite of the campaigns, because of all the mini-game stuff (hated carrying the gnome all the way to the finale though, but it was fun at the same time) and the cool final chapter, despite being tired of hearing Midnight Riders now thanks to L4D2. 😂 The guitar is probably my favorite melee weapon too (besides the fast katana), which I love bashing the Tank and Witch with more than anything else in the game, so yeah. 😛

Sounds good. Think you could go idle a little less often though? No offense, but it gets kinda.. hard to play with someone when they do that a lot, like when I was trying to help Rages and those people with that Survival achievement and your AI kept doing stupid stuff (like not climbing up the latter) and was the first to die. xD

So like, a friend of mine had a funny idea the other day, that around Christmas, they should have DLC in L4D2 where Boomers are dressed up as Santa Claus.

😆 and elf suits for the chargers 😂

I don't know about you guys, but since I got L4D2, I've had no urge to play the first one/I find the sequel a lot more enjoyable. So today I sold my copy of the original Left 4 Dead. Any similar experiences?

It still has the bad single player experience but everything else is different. I like how Valve put good plots in their Half Life games but in games like L4D, the game feels dull unless you play multiplayer. It's always about the multiplayer isn't it Valve?

Oh yeah, that too!

Not particularly. I usually still enjoy and keep the older/original games, despite whether I prefer the sequel(s) more or not, though as far as Left 4 Dead goes, am actually not sure which one I like better now. There are some things about the first one I still like better than the 2nd, and vice-versa.

Just curious, what do you like better about the first?

Do you pay attention to what you write down?

Valve all about the MP?

Huh?

That's retarded.

Much smarter AI (see previous page for more elaboration on that), being able to melee as much as I wanted, no Witches that walked around, and trivial stuff like me preferring most of the older Survivors over the new ones (Zoey and Francis > Rochelle and Ellis). Also liked the design of the Smoker much better in the first (in L4D2, he has some kind of weird tumor), and the Hunters' growl and screams that they make when pouncing sounded waaaaay cooler in the first as well. Those were actually my favorite sound effects in the first Left 4 Dead, whereas in L4D2, the Hunter sounds retarded in comparison IMO. 🙁

Those kind of things I guess. I know I'm bein' sort of nitpicky there, but meh.

I dunno....I think the AI is the same, but since the game is harder the AI flaws become more obvious.

Well as I said on the last page..

In scavenger mode, I could run up to 3 AI as a Hunter (standing right in front of them), and they wouldn't react to me at all unless I scratched one of them with my claw or pounced on 'em, whereas the L4D1 AI would have killed me right on the spot.

WTF

=(
