damn straight by the time i am done he would have lost his identity and bank account. 😉

***** had it coming.

It was his fault, she offered to sign it, he screamed in her face and shoved her. I'd act difficult after that.

Shoved her to avoid traffic. 🙄 They weren't even on the road.

Yes. What would you have done? She wasnt cooperating, not one bit. She ****ed herself over when she refused to sign the ticket.

There is no need for such action, the USA is turning into a police state where the cops can do what they want.

The cop should have taken her details down and sent her court summons, you don't have to sign ANYTHING.

Such weapons are just being used to tame the population, and anyone who thinks tasering people like this, especially older people with weaker hearts is right then just go and hand your freedom away at the local office now.

Imagine they were standing where the old woman was when this happens.

So yeah...there's a reason the police want people to move away from the road side of the car when they stop them.

So becuase 4 people did it we should all overreact and scream for people to stand 5 feet from the road. I guess becuase thousands of cars have accidents we should all walk everywhere, right?

Hmmm....Let me think...What's more likely?

The only 4 people that this has ever happened to have had it video'd and posted on youtube....

or

It's happened a lot in police stops, Breakdowns and any other reason to stop on the hard shoulder of a motorway but those either weren't video'd or were but just didn't show up on my 2 minute search of youtube?

RJ:

So, in your opinion, if a police officer asks me to do something, and my response is non-violent refusal, the officer is allowed to use force to get me to comply?

Potentially lethal force?

Like, lets imagine that the cop actually had to make her sign the ticket, and that she never offered to sign it, and forget the pushing off the road, and make her 50 years younger. Does someone refusing to do what a police officer says, peacefully, really warrant them being attacked with a weapon that has been known to kill people under those exact circumstances?

You don't think that is giving just a little too much power to the only people allowed to use force in society? Like, what if a cop just randomly approached you on the street and told you to do something, are you going to do it because, if you don't, you might "get what you deserve"? And that is alright by you?

Or maybe it has something to do with the statistic that 1/3 of all highway and motorway fatalities are the result of roadside collisions.

http://www.wsdot.wa.gov/research/reports/fullreports/475.1.pdf

Or the fact that 1 police officer is killed every month because of roadside collisions

common advice for roadside vehicle maintenance is to stay in the car if possible for this very reason.

From "Green flag"

Get people out of the car by the left hand doors and behind the crash barrier if there is one and onto the grass bank, the further away from traffic the better.

From the Automobile Assosiation

Leave the vehicle by the left-hand door and ensure all your passengers do the same. Leave any animals in the vehicle or, in an emergency, keep them under proper control on the verge. If you have reflective jackets in the vehicle wear them. Do not use a reflective triangle.

Ensure that passengers keep away from the carriageway and hard shoulder, and that children are kept under control. It is best to retreat up the bank, or behind a barrier if this is possible.

Those are for UK drivers as the driver side is the right and the roadside is on the left.

lol, fair enough, I meant more "Don't hang about on the side of the road to flag down help" or "don't stand around with your head under the hood trying to figure out what is wrong"

Also funny, getting out on the left hand side of the car.

Haha, flee the scene, that's a good one.

I watched the vid and the only reason that moron tasered her was because she challenged him. They both acted stupid. All this cop had to do was just act professional because it seems he turned into an ******* once she refused to sign the ticket.

Anyway, I don't really care, but this idiot should give a second thought before he tasers a 72 year old. She could have easily died given her age.

She tried to get back in her truck and leave, by legal definitions, this is fleeing the scene.

Dude, she was right on the edge of the road, he pushed her to get her out of traffic.

BTW

Funny how you were unsure and felt bad for her, but now she's a dumb ***** and deserved it and you even laughed at her cries of pain.

the initial WHOA was at her behavior, at her not cooperating. As someone just said, ***** deserved it.

Meh, debatable. Just saying he had an easier way out. Though I do think that she had one, too. Not that I feel comfortable with Police officers having that much power, but since they do, why bother defying them.

Definitely debatable, I agree, but he had only his and hers safety in mind.

thats a load of crap.

Point is that the cop had no grounds to use the taser on her.

He could have easily just let her be on her way and get fined for not paying the ticket then get her ass hauled to court, or just as easily used non-lethal force and handcuffed her.

Thats just like, your opinion, man.

She'd have been in Mexico inside the hour.
