Deputy tasers Great Grandma

I don't know when that was decided, but I'd want to throw my hat into the ring on for that title.

You're the libertarian wing.

i felt that this would be an appropriate thread to post this.

i came across this video last night.

YouTube video

the video made me think of the tazer incident because its another example of police jumping the gun imo. for you guys, at what a point do you think the police are justified in whooping someones ass? do you think they were justified here?

While it looks like the cops were clearly in the wrong, why is the video edited?

When he reaches to supposedly zip-up his jacket, there is a clear jump in the video and you see the fat-cop tackle his ass. I'd like to know what happened in that cut-out frame, between Ronnie reaching for his jacket and the cop getting out.

Also, why in the **** would the cops tell him to zip-up his jacket? This all seems very odd and edited to make it something else.

What law did he even break to begin with?

According to the video, being black at the wrong place.

Isnt it obvious? The cops teleported from the cruiser, pulled a "Minority report", and found that the black man was gonna pull an uzi from his waistband.

totally unrelated, but:

I'm not excusing the police, as you see the fat-cop beat on him over and over while the guy isn't fighting back, but has his hand up.

My question is what lead to the fat-cop tackling him, as we don't know what happened in the cut-out portion.

OK so my joke failed miserably.

I agree, and unfortunately we see alot of vids like that. Remember the one where the college student got tased?

The "don't taze me bro" one? If so, that wasn't like this, as there wasn't any cut scenes, you see him acting like a fool and the cops clearly overreacting with the use of force.

Yup. I see it. After she refused to sign it, she ordered out of the car, she got out of the car, and she almost immediately agreed to sign it. However, too late. She was belligerent and already refused to sign it. Point of no return. Had that been you or me, we would have gotten our ass beat down.

But, yes, I do see it. There was a window to just forget everything. But can he do something like that? Sure. Is it right by his badge? Probably not.

You seem to be mixing the words "Police" and "God"

If a police-officer beats me down for refusing to sign a ticket and giving him "attitude" then he'll find his poorly-educated ass at the wrong end of a lawsuit. And in Norway, being a cop isn't a free pass to abuse (white) people.

When medical reasearch say "TAZER CAN KILL YOU" then it ain't less dangerous than physically restraining her. The odds a frail 72 year old woman wrestling out of the pig's arms and pulling them both into traffic is very small. Worst case scenario there is that he breaks an arm, not quite the same as DEATH.

See what age can do to you? When you reach an age like 72, you get cranky all the time and look where it gets you: Speeding your car and getting tazed by a cop. Getting old sucks.

You seem to be confusing your idea of what policemen should be and do and reality.

You forgot to mention...resisting arrest, the most important and probably the sole item that contributed to my statement. You are arguing like Leon.

It most certainly isn't a free pass here in America.

On another note, if a white cop beats or kills a black man, even for a legit reasons, there' rioting in the streets.

Water can kill you, too. I'm quite certain many many more people have died from hyponatremia.

The risk of dying from a taser is much much less for a 72 year old lady than driving on the road, I'm quite sure. The odds are rediculously stacked against your argument when you consider the fact that the old lady was at him when they were near the road. Go ahead, try that. Definitely let us know if you get killed. 🙂

She was hardly frail. She was quite feisty.

No, it was a very real threat. Have you seen any police videos of officers, their vehicles. or the people they've pulled over, getting smashed into by passing cars. Patrolmen are usually very urgent in keeping the people they pull over as safe as possible while issuing citations. He most certainly did right in pushing her off of him and getting them both farther away from the road.

When the vid first came out there was a cut scene, looks like there are better ones available now.

The other side of the coin🙂

YouTube video

Another Taser incident, where the cop was in no danger whatsoever. You would expect this behaviour in some 3rd world country not the USA.

I wonder if someone in the USA can clarify if you have to sign a speeding ticket or not, surely you can't be forced to sign something.

In most European countries you get caught by a speeding camera and get post in the mail with the evidence. Or if a cop with a speed device catches you, you either get an on the spot fine or a summons.

That was pretty awesome.

Wonder what a guy that tases 70 year old women, would have done in that case.

Headshot, perhaps.

😱

Go ahead and bow down to the authority if you want to. Doesn't really change the fact that the police can't do shit to me. Might be like that in Asserica or wherever you live, but not here.

Resisting arrest and refusing to co-operate. Most popular crimes ever? You can pull that shit on anything, she was resisting as much as the black man in the other video was. She changed her mind and want to sign his paper, she wanted an easier solution. If he actually wanted a peaceful solution, he could have had it.

Show me some of these riots. I've never seen a single one take place in America. And the frequency of which riot occurs certainly isn't on par with police brutality. Unless your stupid ass actually think there is a riot for everytime some pig beats down a black man?

Yeah, I'm also fairly certain there are more people who drink water and swim than people who are tasered.

She is 72 years old. Think for a second.

Never seen a 72 year old woman break out of a policeman's grip and pull the pair into the traffic. Capable of providing an even remotely similar incident?

Its cops like this that make other cops look bad.
