I agree particularly with the messiah bit.
Neither Ghandi or Abraham Lincoln turned to meth and rent boy schpincter.
So its more likely that Haggard kinda always liked young boys and meth.
Therefore its just more evidence for the fact that it is an institution that has authorative positions (Which usually work with the young and vulnerable) is prone to a certain types of people seeking out and getting jobs.
And those institutions guard their own.
In Haggards case he IS the institution. And very often they fall because people worship them. It happens a lot.
Ghandi was certainly different, but he chose to live the most sobre life possible. Any form of richness or power is a contradiction to that. But he sure kept his word and stuck to his non violent guns. Not many are that strong.
Absolutely, nor do they always know how to handle it.
Even seen that documentary " The Eyes of Tammy Faye"? It's about Jim Bakker and that christian theme park he was buidling in de 70s. That really shows how people can just slide down into the money pit without even realising and truly believing you're doing the right thing. And in the end getting roasted alive by fellow believers who have been standing by doing nothing until things go wrong.
Quite a revealing film. It shows people are not always evil per se... more like uncorrected. And some prefer to keep themselves uncorrected, those are the ones to watch out for.
Cool. I havent seen it. I'll go see if I can find it.. 🙂
Thanks for the recommend.
Well a sociopath with a nuke might not think he is doing anything wrong by playing with his toy, but to us, blowing it up near our arses would be percieved by us as an evil act.
And that sociopath might be of the opinion that he is the one who is to be doing the correcting.
And how about sharia law? According to the hardcore Muslims, we live incorrectly...
