Indiana Jones 5

Pardon my ignorance, please, good sir. But what is TAOS?

The Last Crusade is amazing also. I would almost say that until the 4th film (obviously), they got better and better. I downloaded the 4th unmentionable film so I can watch it again and refresh my memory on how bad it really is. I even downloaded it in lesser quality just to see if that will help give it a bit more of a retro feel (and the CGI won't look as obviously bad). So, I'm giving it all the advantages that I can. lol

The
Aliens
Of
Shit. 🙂

Nooooooooooo mannnnnnnn!!! Dont do it....!!!!!!! 😛
Prepare for a trip to bummed city..its truly...truly awful in its hideous banality/incoherance/incredulousness/lameness.

Ah, gotcha. Those damn Aliens. 😬

I can't wait.. 😆

Yeah they might have been fine (When they we not looking like Obvious CG cartoonery like in TAOS...) in the X-files/Close Encounters, where they belong, but they were utter utter bullshit in an Indy movie.

I mean, aliens might have been able to work in an Indy film... if it was done right. Like that Plinkett guy said, they couldn't decide on what kind of alien aspect to focus on and it was just confusing. If they had stuck with more of an Area 51 premise then I think that could work. Government cover-up and whatnot.. that could be really good. But yes, what they did failed rather monstrously.

He also pointed out that the genre confusifying also didnt help.
I agree. It, like most other nasty ass steaming piles of diahorrea shit, is almost lacking shape.

Certainly bereft of a structured, understandable or appealing shape, anyway...

THe first twenty minutes still looks promising. Too bad it went downhill after that.

With all due respect, dude... Raiders is by far the best although TOD and TLC are great films, they never approached the grandeur and perfection of Raiders. Before Lucas went a little cuckoo in the head.

Yes Raiders Pwns all and is immortal.

*bows*

Yeah, whichever one I've watched most recently is the best one. 😛

I'm watching them all again. Haven't gotten to Raiders yet. I'm going backwards for some reason.. lol

So Temple of Doom and Raiders will have the correct chronology for you then...

That is true indeed.

Wait, so Raiders actually occurs after Temple of Doom?

In the chronology of the movies.. yeah.

'35 Temple Of Doom
'36 Raiders
'38 Last Crusade

I am learning so much from you two... the great Masters of the Indy Universe. wink3

You could alos watch the movies and learn the same thing...

Oh, and TAOS NEVER happened at all... 😉

Yeah man. They are an awesome trilogy.
Dive in...get a sixpack and a pizza and make an evening of it, with the surround on, the bigscreen and dark.

Thats right Queeq. It didn't.

And also: pay attention. 😉

Well, i'll be honest: I didn't watch but maybe the last 45 minutes or so of Last Crusade (which is f#cking superb, btw), and I didn't pay much attention to the beginning of TOD, but I did watch it fairly closely most of the way through. And i havent seen Raiders in many years. I have a terrible memory, too, which is actually kind of cool, cuz I can watch stuff again and again and not really remember the twists.. lol

It's okay, I could probably school you guys on the Matrix Trilogy.. 😛 it's pretty vastly complex.

That was an awful waste.

Loved the 1st one. It was a bit part of my 1999.
But the second and third movies just disappeared up it's own bottom and never came back. Hated the way that nearly all emotional involvement was severed by concentrating on third rate background characters as our "stakes are high" focus when we didn't know them and didn't really have much reason to give a shit about them..Horrible.
