Each match will pit the same tiers against each other for the most part. There may be mixed matches (like 2 Heralds + 1 Meta, 1 meta + 2 streets, for example). You'll know in advance so you can plan accordingly.

In match you have your powers and whatever applications of them you can perform that don't break any rules.

I'd tend to say no, but it's dependent on a few factors. Mainly whether a certain version of the character is either greatly amped/upgraded or greatly diminished (so, not operating at their normally depicted base abilities), or a character has an alternate ability set altogether in different incarnations (like Speedball Vs. Penance or Ms. Marvel Vs. Binary, for example).

Yeah. That's up to the captain/teams. You'll put together a team that you think can achieve victory, but you won't know who your in-match opponents will be until the battle begins, you'll just know the pool of characters that the otherside has to pick from for that particular tier and try to put your best group together to contend.

one thing--a best of 11 may not allow everyone to use all 3 of their characters. say we win 6 straight (just "hypothetically" . . . heh) that would be only 6 matches and with having to vary the tiers, not all characters will be used. instead of best of 11, could we consider maybe the first team with 9 wins or something? more opportunity to debate and use characters, and more chance to pit diferent characters against each other.

i also hope the format varies. i'd love 1vs1 as well as matches that are 2vs2 and 3vs3.

Normally, I'd have no problem debating against him, in a typical forum setting. However, you've got CIS off for this tourny. That's a big issue. The second is that you've disallowed one-shot kills, so there's no blowing up the planet, etc, to stop him.

How do you beat a non-CIS Flash without OHK?

i replied to bw since he thought you'd be too lazy to extand the invite. as is the norm, i'm fine wityh it, but i leave the ultimate decision in the hands of my better half. 🙂

i think the gem should be ruled out, honestly. there is a serious dearth of defenses against it and it really is a ohk.

mind you, i don't really see why we shouldn't ban someone like Flash, but we are gonna ban smaller things like some forms of time manip, luck manipulation, and all the other "problem powers" that we rule out.

And agree on the soul gem being banhammered. Bar Warlock's declaration about strong souls possibly overwhelming him, there's no defense against it save for the new gods on our side.
