no, but his mental prowess have proven to be formidable. taking over planets from afar. but mental powers isn't what thanos would use anyway. despero can resist him, imo. if the 2 go toe to toe in a physical battle, vandv despero could take some. thanos beats him in the smarts battle, though.

thanos is pretty stacked in the defense department, even without his multitudes of shields and such.

V&V Despero won't take any, either. Thanos' shields would absorb anything he'd dish out, and Thanos' power output combined with Despero's crap durability would end this match fast.

crap durability? didn't despero survive the rock of eternity from falling on him? i wouldnt say thats crap. also shrugging off multiple top tiers like martian manhunter, superman, cap. marvel, & wonder woman.

Despero on average is quite durable. Thanos takes this because of his energy shields. Good to see Despero was ranked among the 100 greatest comic book villains.

On average I'd say he'd take it, it's not like Thanos hasn't had issue with sharp point weapons.

And no, I don't recall Thanos having any issues with any sharp objects save for Wolverine's claws, once, when he let them hit him.

Which is moot, considering Despero doesn't have any bladed weapons as standard tech.

Discounting PC and V&V Despero, Thanos is stronger. Thanos is more durable. Thanos has a higher power output. Thanos has better standard equipment. Thanos is more versatile.

And Thanos wins.

That mace was Nth metal. Hardly a low showing.

Despero's also been owned by Superman multiple times. Physically beaten up, HV right through him, etc. Thanos has walked through Odin's blasts.

Durability wise, there's zero comparison.

That's a watered down Despero. Thanos can manhandle 10 of those easily. Early versions or V&V would hold his own.

i know its a more recent showing thing. which is why most of those are watered down. and which is why i specifically said VV version. i mean how can you go from taking on some of the most feared top tiers in the dcu and then just get dropped like a sac of bricks against just one. kinda dumb.

Aquaman has also pierced him before. And black adam himself has crushed that same mace like it was nothing. Considering Despero took damage from that mace in my opinion thats a very low showing.

That mace has plenty feats that says either wise 😬

Thanos wins because his durability is much better.
