Can someone please explain to me what Diana meant when she said re: Mera "No wonder she hates herself?"

Was it due to failure, or something?

Also, bar some nice art, the WW tie in has been pretty weak imo. Need to read the rest of Flash and JSA, but yeah, added nothing to the story.

WW is different which makes it a little better then the countless other which are all the same.

I believe she meant that Mera is a failure in life. She lost her husband and child.

I think the Lasso just showed her the truth, which makes she was hiding, or denying when she was Human. The Black Ring strips the user of all their emotions.

i thought it was the pink ring, not the lasso?

I don't think so. In the issue, WW states that the ring tries to find the love in her heart, but it's all consumed by Rage that runs deep. Then in page 16, she claims the love is too far to be revealed by the ring. She then proceeds to use the Lasso. It should her the truth, the love she lost, her failures...etc.

though, she also says, "Deeper then my ring can reveal... or at least can reveal alone."

So I guess the ring and the lasso did the truth

Are we talking about Diana or Mera?

And how in the hell could AM be transformed anyway? A.) He wasn't dead when Nekron fashioned the lantern housing around him, and B.) How can a being composed of pure anti-matter energy be transformed into a Black Lantern anyway?

C'mon, Johns. Stop digging.

Except AM has died in the past, he doesn't have to be currently dead to be transformed as shown with Wonder Woman, Superman, Green Arrow, etc, etc. If you died once, you can become a BL alive or not.

Mera.

Were you talking about WW in BN:WW2? If so, yes, the ring showed her the love she has for all creation. The black ring was not able to absorb all the love she had. The Violet ring was able to find the love that was deep in her heart and overtake the Bring

He's talking about BN:WW3, where

Spoiler:
WW Shaphire fought Rage Lantern Mera

Yup, that's what I was talking about as well.

I was talking about Diana originally, so that's where we got our wires crossed. honestly, besides the art, the mini really didn't do a lot for me. it did establish diana as the ultimate hippie, though.

The only thing that it reinforced was that Bruce can have her anytime, anywhere.

Sorry about that, after Wrathful Dwarf spoiled it...

Eh?! It's been all over Newsarama and CBR since yesterday. How could I have spoiled?

Heck! Even the guys @ the DC boards knew it since Monday!

because not all of us go to newsarama and cbr. or the dc boards.

i'm not having a go at you. i just wouldn't have minded having the option not to see the picture and then pick up GLC a month from now and go "holy shit!" when it was revealed.

Was WW #3 Blackest Night worth getting?? Read some of it but didn't buy it, should I?? 🤓

No. The plot barely moved forward. In fact, it didn't

Do you have the first 2 issues?

For me, it would drive me nuts to have part of a mini series and miss one issue...unless it was absolutely abominable.

It wasn't mind-blowing...but I didn't feel as though I wasted my money, either.

I love these covers.
