This is a story about Zombies with magic rings with emotions as a power-source, and you're asking Rhetorically skeptical questions about comic book physics ?

im not willing to write it off as the stupidest thing ive ever heard til i see what happens...im gonna let the numbers play out on this one..for it is mathematically impossible for him to be demoted to a mere BL when he was the guardian of the sinestro Corps, and had heavy weights like Cyborg Supes and SBP under his thumb.. in my heart of hearts im hoping that it is some sleight of hand nonsense where he was just whisked away and put in the battery to recharge his antimatter energies..thats the only thing i'll accept..but its a moot point cuz im way over BN anyway..what the **** are they doing.. its like cramming for a test the night b4 or something..they should have brought him out in issue #3...

Im pretty sure this will be the case ... He'll undoubtedly seek retribution upon Nekron ... Nekron will win the the close battle, but will spend all his energies in the process. Meanwhile some outrageous DEUS EX MACHINA will be used to save the day, while the two Titans of evil are "Willy Wagging".

In an Ideal Worle we d see some kind menage et 3, of Spectre/Anti Monitor and Nekron. I doubt we'll get it.

Truly truly incredible. GL 51 was one of the best GL i have seen. Not only did John not destroy Spectre reputation, but he actually kept to the Characters Nature. Spectre vs Parallax was incredible.

Spoiler:

Spectre finally intervenes with Nekron.
Though, I wasn't surprised by the outcome.
Very nice! 10/10

It would seem that Spectre isn't the real Rage Entity

I have to admit i really liked it. So, are all the Spectre fans happy now?

also, any ideas who nabbed

Spoiler:
Parallax?

Hector Hammond seemed to know...

I think the issue did a great job of treating each character with respect and at the right power levels, myself.

Oh yeah. John pulled it off perfectly. I am yeah, Spectre was jobbing, but everybody knew he wasn't going to step in and win it for Team Lanterns.

I have no idea what connections Hector H and Parallax have together.

Spoiler:
Geoff didn't retcon Spectre into something else entirely? Yay, besterest issue ever! 😐

And this needs to be said, spoilers for Blackest Night: Flash #3:

Spoiler:
What the fuck? Since when is Owen... anything like he's been portrayed there?

A facepalm would be a masssive understatement.

Yeah it was pretty good for the Spectre.

BN 7 here we come

After a few consecutive edit-failures, you settled on making it short. That made me laugh.

😂

Ha yeah was driving me crazy 🤪

More Blue Lantern Flash! more! More! MORE!!!!!!!

Well, I am certainly glad Spectre is no longer being controlled by a black ring. I'm also glad that he wasn't recruited as the rage entity. However, I don't like the fact that Spectre A.) fears the emotional aspects, or B.) that he cannot affect beings that are soulless.

Yeah it makes him seem like a pussy. Next thing you know he'll be powerless against Deadman.

Except, Deadman is a soul !

Yes but I can easily see them coming up with another bullshit restriction like "you can't effect souls that belong to Rama Kushna" or some crap like that. 🙄

I hope there was something recognisably good about the issue, apart from a consistent portrayal of Specters power level ? Its not something I'm that bothered about ?

I could live with that; it is all theological mumbo-jumbo any way. Real theologists just make it up as they go along, I don't see why comic book writers aren't allowed to do the same?

Am I trying a bit hard to be controversial ? I sometimes need, a reality check ?

Yeah I just think they put the fearing the primitive emotions in it as Spectre might have been referring to his fall and emotions lead to that. The Spectre took out Parallax and from what Sinestro said he was holding into him right before. Then again from what Hals ring said it was an unknown force but from what happened Spectre never feared them to the point of running away (he did the opposite). I guess this will be figured out later (not years I hope).
