I don't mind PC stuff in theory, but when it comes to feat wars, people act like the PC Era was nothing but insane power levels and completely throw out anything else.

i agree. i liked a lot of it. it was fluffy and fun and wasn't meant to be taken seriously (especially the earlier stuff). trying to use it in debates doesn't make much sense to me.

as far as the thread--like marvel, adam and supes have always been shown to be on par for the most part. the one time adam actually 'won', supes was holding back because he thought adam was marvel and didn't want to hurt him. adam also used red sun radiation (iirc) to 'win' the fight. the other time (the book whose cover was shown a few pages back) superman elected NOT to continue the fight for fear of hurting innocents and admitted they were evenly matched and the fight could last for days. incidentally, in that same issue adam admitted that even with all his power he was no match for marvel.... superman and marvel then combined to kick his a$$ easily.

one minute adam looks greater than marvel and superman. the next, not so much. one moment superman is smashing moons together to make a sun, sneezing away a solar system and throwing a planet in front of the sun to create an eclipse. the next he struggles to lift a coral reef. that's the pc world for you. shrug
