there were times when MANY characters were above pc superman. that's the thing with pc supes--his powers and power level were specifically driven by plot. so while in one issue he's getting beat up by he-man and both he and marvel are having trouble with adam 2 on 1, in another issue he does things that make it seem like he would demolish adam easily on his own, or he-man. very difficult to say anything definitive based on some of those fights imo. pc superman--if needed--was more powerful than pretty well anyone though.

And if you knew anything about Cyclops or Iceman, you'd know that the examples you used weren't really good ones, as the powers are nothing alike bar a very vague set of criteria.

i'm not entirely sure i'm translating your post correcctly. to me, it wasn't at all surprising that adam appeared tougher than superman and marvel, even when they teamed up, because superman was portrayed so inconsistently and was used so often to make other characters look good. the list of characters pc superman had trouble with is quite extensive and not exactly full of just a-list guys like adam. people DO tend to overlook his low showings and look at his highest feats. i actually think pc superman is a silly character to use in the forum because his feats and battles fluctuate so wildly. i have absolutely no doubt that adam COULD have beaten him at some point. but i'm equally certain superman could have beaten adam down. and NEITHER would have been inconsistent for the character because where pc superman was considered, consistency was pretty readily thrown out the window.
