"Arneth is here. He used the Force to make it look like Nehmen killed Akro. I'm trying to find him now," Rianna replies quickly.

Behind you, the ping-ping! of Dalt's pistols continues. A few bolts streak your way, but go wide.

Ahead, the sound of blasterfire is deafening... must be where Nehmen.

To your left, someone is crying "Help!"

Rianna's going to go to the left and see what's going on there.

You go left.

There is a distinct whum! and the cries for help are cut off abruptly. As you progress you nearly stumble over the body of one of Nehmen's soldiers. His riot shield has been cut in two and his head removed.

The head sits a short distance away, and it has been demasked.

Rianna will ignite her lightsaber and hold it up in a defensive position; clearly she's found Arneth, or possibly Rand's other apprentice.

If Arneth was here (which he was), he is no longer.

The gas density increases, and everyone suffers a -2 penalty if they do not have masks.

Yes, but he's likely not too far. So Sense to see if he's still nearby.

Yes... he has headed to your right. Toward the densest firing.

Rianna's going to go that direction, then. She's determined to catch him.

You rush after him! But before you get there, you are distracted... a massive surge of power, fueled by the Dark Side...

Vera-Kin, you drop to your knees in exasperation. You are in the wrong place!

Where is it coming from?

Same question, if Vera-Kin is sensing it.

Rianna, in the midst of this fight, you cannot stop and focus on it. It is not in your immediate area, but it frightens you. You press ahead to find a slaughter. With the gas hampering them, the miners are unable to truly fight back. That does not stop them from trying.

What really gets you is that Arneth has Nehmen isolated in a tight ring of miners. Nehmen is fighting for his life against his foe, who has his lightsaber raised and poised to strike.

The miners are too densely packed for a simple leap in... and the sound of Dalt's pistols is getting closer. He's following you.

Vera-Kin, however... keenly senses the surge of power coming from the center of the city... from Fort Ine!

Rianna's going to shove her way through the cluster of miners, trying to get to Nehmen and to get to Arneth. At this point, she recognizes that if any of them attempt to attack, she may need to cut them down.

Vera-Kin gets back to her feet and shouts to the soldiers.

"We need to get back to Fort Ine!" Vera-Kin shouts. "The trouble is there, not here! Get the snipers back with us, let's move out! I am going to go now, meet me there!"

Vera-Kin gives Tineas one last glance before rushing off.

That is going to be Strength for Rianna. She tries to push her way through that crowd... but she finds herself pushed back by the much stronger miners.

Nehmen snaps off a shot at Arneth, but the Dark Jedi deflects it and slashes at the Republic officer in a vicious charge. The lightsaber burns across the man's front, cutting open the jacket of his uniform. Arneth skids to a halt on the other side of the ring, turning to face the soldier again.

As you rush down the main street of the Astrune Quarter toward the center of the city, you see the Fort stretching up to meet the sky. You can see it quaking slightly and the power of the Dark Side swelling before you...

"Move!" Rianna shouts at the miners.

Is there a weak spot in the cluster, or is she going to have to fight her way through?

You would have to spend a turn looking for a weak spot in their ring... but it would just be another test of Strength.

Which is never going to go well for Rianna.

She'll have to fight her way through, then...
