STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- Broken

"Make up your mind if you're going to kill me or not, and stop toying with me already!" Rianna shouts up at him, trying to control her fear at how close she came to dying just then.

"This is far more fun than being a Jedi," Rand laughs. "If only you knew how this feels, this total freedom to do as you want, with nobody to chastise you. And if they try, you KILL THEM!"

He moves his hand and guides you through the air slowly before dropping you amidst a stack of crates. His students have pinned down the remaining policemen, and Rand turns with a swirl of his robe and steps into the farther hatch. His students vanish after him shortly after.

Rianna watches as he leaves, trying to ignore what he said, before pulling herself out of the pile of crates. Are any of the other policemen left?

None. Those that fell into the vat have now expired, and the rest have been blasted apart by Rand's students (the very existence of which worries you greatly).

Is there another exit out of here? Or is Rianna going to have to climb back up to the top?

She's going to check to see if her comm is still not working, btw.

And everything right now rather worries her. And she's still very put out that Rand took her lightsaber, as she feels pretty helpless without it.

Still not working. Climbing back up to the top is your safest bet; otherwise, you will hve to go looking for another exit and you are not sure where any of them lead, or if you will just end up running into Rand once more.

Which she definitely does not want to do right now.

Well, climbing carefully back to the top will be it, then.

It is a slow and painful ascent, Rianna, having to pull yourself up a series of ladders after being wounded and rattled as you were. However, soon Rianna emerges into the barn and finds the transport that the police used to reach the farm- having not trusted you to take this alone, you think. Between Rand's departure and Rianna's arrival at the Reecee police station, nothing eventful occurs. When you arrive, the police rush to get you medical treatment for your burns and ask what happened to the rest of the team.

"They're all dead," Rianna explains as they treat her injuries. "It had been an operation set up by a Dark Jedi and two of his apprentices. They killed all of the police, and likely are long gone by now."

The police, of course, are totally freaked out when you tell them this, and Rianna is sent to talk to the Chief, to report in full what happened so that a clean-up crew may be sent, and whether or not the threat still remains.

Well, Rianna will tell the chief the same thing she just said, for starters.

"There should be no more drug problems, now that this is shut down," she says. "Nor should Reecee need to worry about the ones behind it. They'll be leaving the planet very quickly. I would have tried to keep them from escaping...but I was in no shape to do so and my lightsaber was stolen from me."

She pauses for a moment.

"I will need to contact the Jedi Council as soon as I can..."

The Chief is pleased to hear that the drug problem is seemingly solved, but he despairs over the deaths of his police officers.

"Were you unable to save them, Jedi?" he asks pointedly. "Just like you were unable to prevent our culprits from fleeing?"

"I tried to warn them of what was happening," Rianna replies, slightly irritated. "It was all I could do, given the circumstances. Do you know how difficult it is to make yourself heard in the midst of a firefight? And I had certainly not expected the culprits to be who they were."

"And who were they, exactly?" the Chief asks. "I need to issue a warrant for their arrests, you understand."

"I only know the name of one. Nume Rand, a former Jedi Master. The other two never gave names," Rianna replies.

"And I really need to get this information to the Council. They will be better equipped to deal with a former Master. Even I cannot handle Rand alone, let alone with his students," she adds, though the last part pains her to admit. "Especially without my weapon."

"Should've done a better job of keeping hold of it," the Chief says, rudely. "Thank you for your time, go talk to your Council. I have paperwork to do and wives to inform."

Rianna stalks out of the room in annoyance without replying; it was easy for others to make comments on things they knew little of. If she had been able to keep a hold on her lightsaber, she certainly would still have it with her.

I suppose she shall go back to wherever it is she has been staying while on Reecee, and contact the Council from there. She doesn't want anyone bothering her while she makes this report.

The Council correspondent to the case on Reecee is Master Ki-Adi-Mundi. You can contact him from the hotel room that was reserved for Rianna.

Rianna will go ahead and contact him, then, seating herself on her bed.

"Master, I believe this investigation is all but done. The drug problem has been dealt with, and I discovered who was behind it," Rianna says, turning slightly uncomfortable. "Unfortunately I wasn't able to stop them, and they escaped. Nor was I wasn't able to pursue them. And I was certainly not expecting who I found was behind this mess."

"Who was it that was behind this unpleasant drug business?" Ki-Adi-Mundi inquires.
