Starving Wives in Afganistan

My take on this is as follows -

The people at the very top of religious hierarchy, I believe are those who do not believe in religion they're leading. I think this has been true throughout history.

People wonder about strange things in the Bible, but noone wonders WHY there isn't a single bad word about Romans when it came to Jesus being crucified? Hellooooo!

Those who wrote our Bibles and Korans and Torahs were those who cashed in on a really great idea.
They were not believers. They couldn't have been.
And the trend continues today - those at the very top are not as religious as they have us think, while those at the bottom, ie normal people/believers are willing to sacrifice everything for their cause.

It's quite devastating actually.

I get what you are saying, and certainly believing in non-violence leads people to less violence, but is it that the person is a Jain? or is it that they grew up where it was inappropriate to use violence in situations, and all of their behevioural patterns and actions reflect this?

I get what you're saying.

However, if we could trick the rabid Christians and Muslims into thinking God told them violence is of the devil and that their hating on others is devilish!

AHA!

You hold up the rig and I'll put on angel wings. Who's going to play God in this?

I almost agree with this entirely.
