Will do.

In that case, you can settle down.

You don't like this, of course- static in enemy territory at night. Good job your Elven lookouts can stay awake for so long.

(If Mithrandir still wants to join in the game now, btw, he can- as a friend of Anilca's, on the same quest, now linking up with her and her new friends)

It is also cold, and those of you most affectd by that (the humans) have to huddle around the fire.

During the night, your bird flies back to you in a panic, Anilca. There are black birds coming, it tells you.

"hmm I have a bad feeling about this night ppl, master elves, try to stay awake for we will need good and rested eyes this evening!"

(Aniica tell us about the birds so we can act.The fire can be spotted from miles)
Palanfirith pulls himself into a higher position(a tree for example) for a better view and he is focused on the movement....
"If danger it's up ahead I'll start to whistle as I don't want to loose my position by moving fast to tell you.Be very careful with that fire during the night because it can be seen from a long distance." tells to the group.

Well, you can see the crows, in the distance...

"Maybe we should put out the fire...at once." Aranui says as he stands up and looks around.

(mah,you couldn't know about the birds.Aniica didn't told us yet 🙂 )

ooh, so we havent been told? sorry..

(I have internal info that we can play along.😄 It can be an instinctual reaction because a fire in the middle of the night can be spotted. )

I assume such info can be spread quickly whilst you are together, unless I say otherwise- a nightmare to play with this many people, else.

Palanfirith looks very closely to the area where the birds are expected to show up,just to be sure we have time to hide before they come.

They will be passing about a hundred yards to your right- but rather high.

"I wonder what are they doing here? What are they searching for? There must be something around here important....." thinks Palanfirith.

"i think our simple location would be of just enough use for them" says Vardalain.
"i doubt the fire will make much of a difference anyway. Crebines (i assume they're crebines) will spot us anyway. "
He checks to see if the crows are coming their way.
"we should hide...they could be dangerous"

(The game is now- who can remember their FOTR (book) the best?)

Sorry, couldn't go on the computer for a while! 😉

*Aniica looks up and sees Garisal swoop down. The hawk nods out to the sky and Anii sees the murder of crows coming.*

'Um..... not to really alarm you at all or anything, but some one should put out the fire.'
'Why?'
'There is a murder of crows coming.'

*Aniica pointed to the black mass flying towards the group.*

"quick.." says Vardalain
"we must put out the fire, spread the woods and hide. They must not see any trace of us"

Palanfirith doesn't move and put himself better in the tree,so he can't be spotted.

(saving your ass, eh?)

(ofc he's an elf what do you expect)

I rush toward a bush and duck for cover

Phew! I am pretty sure the Rangers in the group can organise you safely into cover...

(You are only about a hundred miles from where The Fellowship faced this exact same situation in the chapter "The Ring Goes South." In which Aragorn was very particular about NOT lighting fires whilst Crebain are around.)

Other than that, the night passes without much incident. You may set off again the next morning.
