LOTR RP Game part 1- Journey to Fornost

Talin gets up a little bit away from the Chiorc. Drawing his sturdy sword, he swings hard at the chain, trying to either snap it or break the swing.

As I see the top of the carriage is dangerous,I try to get a safer position around it and then start shooting at Chiorc(Talin is pretty alone there!)

Ok, as mentioned before, youi cannot see the Chiorc to shoot at it unless close or ON the carriage.

vardalain keeps climbing back on top the caravan as carefull as he can, avoiding the javelins. He hurries on a shot at chiorc

(but if I enter the carriage, can I shoot Chiorc from there?thru a window or something ?)

(I wouldn't enter the carriage if I were you Fitch)

It wouldn't help, it is height you need! You could shoot the Chiorc from the hilsl as well, but the orcs up there might get moody about that.

Vardalain, the area on the carriage is roughly equal to the area on the top of a van. You can't dodge for all the mithril in Khazad Dum; the javelins are just going to land where they land. Your shot goes high, though you are pretty sure you hit an orc BEHIND the big figure.

Talin, the chain just wrapped around your sword. The two weapons are now entangled. The Chiorc grins, horribly. One of his bodyguards, curved sword drawn, approaches..

The side lines are no more. Some six men have run to the carriage whilst some fifteen orcs are on their tails, with more coming.

Talin, thr Chiorc has made his impression on the men around you; they are starting to run also.

Only at the front, where Farael, Anglomir and Aranui are fighting fiercely are the men encouraged to stand, and even there on the left there is a gap.

Aranui quickly dodges again and after ducking gets up with a fierce swing-blow at the opponent.

Aranui quickly dodges again and after ducking gets up with a fierce swing-blow at the opponent.

Fitch risks and goes on the carriage and takes only one shot in Chirc.Talin could be in serious problems.(If Chiorc "bites" it Talin will have the oportunity to run or kill that other guy.)Then I jump down I dock somewhere safly!

finn tries to cover for some of the men running for the carriage, shooting at the fifteen-some orcs chasing em'.

It's no good, Palanfirith. A pressure shot like that is too much for you to hit with. The Chiroc is in a fight and moving too much; you will need to risk a well-aimed, steady shot.

Hey, Finuvien, conventional weapons are so unsophisticated... as best as you have been trained, you concentrate, let loose a shot and are rather surprised when you bullseye an orc in the forehead.

Aranui, your sword bites into the orc's shoulder, causing it to come lose and carry the spear in one hand. Immeditately afterwards fierce jabs from the other two orcs are coming at you...

woot!!! *victory dance*
incidentally...unsophisticated as weapons may seem...fin doesn't really see any opportunity to use her magic. ^_^* (unless she, like, plans to drown the chiorc by filling his lungs with fluid, somehow. *lol* ya never know: maybe try n' flood the pleural cavity n' make breathing difficult. ^_~ *ducks swings*)

I am afraid that would detract from the breathtaking mystical art of Elvish power somewhat...

Ok, well, it is a bit late now but you could have done your mud trick on the area between the side lines and the caravan so the orcs breakthing through would have been slowed. Just an example of the sort of thing you could have been thinking about.

Vardalain doesn't want to risk being shot so he gets down from the caravan, while he can. He shoots at the nearest enemy target.
(do i have a visual on chiorc from here?)

Anglomir hacks down as many Orcs as possible. He grabs a bow from a fallen Man and climbs up on top of the caravan with Vardalain. He aims for the javelineers.

Continues shooting arrows at Orcs.

I'll choose to try and hold up the broken side lines.

No side-lines left to protect, William! But your short bow shoots down another one of the Orcs approaching the Caravan.

Only a vague view of it moving about in the melee, Vardalain.

Anglomir, you are on the front line and some way from the caravan, in the middle. Is your intention to break off and go there?

Next battle update coming tomorrow... it;s not going to be pretty.

(Now Ush, be honest with me...are we getting screwed or what?)

Um... well, it may have been better if someone had tried to shore up the sidelines and the second gap at the front. Sooner or later the orcs will get enough of their numbers to the middle to overwhelm you- best make it later, but with one entire way in now undefended it is hard to stop them. Full marks to Talin for bravery, but now all the men around him are starting to run as well and the Chiorc has been calibrated to take on more than one of you at once (else you could kill it easily. And there are a LOT of players!)

A lot of people are afraid of being wounded. This I appreciate but this maybe also the time for bold and risky manoeuvres. This is the signature battle of the story and also the last so any wounds you sustain will all be gone by the time of the next episode.
