Blade vs Daken

Started by Phantom Zone24 pages

I personally think that Guggenheim did a crap job of trying to portray that Blade was equal to Wolverine.

However if the writer said thats what he was trying to do then theres certainly nothing wrong with taking that f*king opinion. The writer may have been trying to portray certain things that the reader may have missed.

However theres nothing wrong with Wolverine fans looking how the fight went and saying that Wolverine looked better, that was one hell of a crap way of proving that Blade was equal.

Theres my Blade blinders.

Logan knows they're too evenly matched because Blade said so... 😂

Just another scan of Blade acting like king shit when he's in no position to do so.

He seems to do that a lot. he's really kind of an *******. like in the spitfire scenario where he's extremely hypocritical. she says she's here to rescue people, he basically calls her a liar and provokes the fight. Rather than helping a good guy overcome the problem, he just wants to drive his stake into her... and not in the good way. So rather than try to help the good guys he tries to kill them.

But apparently whenever he goes up against a good guy who's struggling to be a good guy, the good guy is still fighting to the best of their abilities and trying hard to be out of character and kill blade. When it makes more sense that when struggling against darker impulses to also be trying not to hurt someone.. as that's persistent with the good guy factor.

But I guess despite that Blade is still fighting them full on. Just to prove how badass, the dumbass is.

What's this guy's appeal again?

WOW.... probably one of the most sensible posts I've seen from PZ in months.

Yes because it involves partially agreeing with your point of view. Obvoulsy if it was in disagreement then you would find something wrong with it. Keep your complements to yourself. 😐

He's like one of half a dozen Black marvel superheroes, and really the only one who has fits the jungian archetypes that those who would relate with someone like Snoopdog would find to their liking.

C'mon you think they're gonna go for someone like Black Panther? Hell no.

So your actually going there? You dont think you would have any decency not to make it personal?

Dude, i don't care if someone disagrees with me in point of opinion. My problem with you is and always has been that you rile yourself up in our arguments stating those opinions as facts, or simply writing off facts that are clearly evident when it suits you. If you disagree based on facts that exist and are not subject to context, I don't find fault in you having an opposing opinion... we both know that's no usually the case.

I'm just answering Cresh's question...

You're acting like what I'm saying doesn't have some resounding truth.

Like when sportscasters talk about the natural superior athleticism of black guys to white guys and everyone freaks out like they don't know what they're talking about.. lol.

So you also think its like at least one blade fan admitted and I suspected? Its cause he's black? That's his appeal?

Pity that the closest thing to allowing race to influence my decisions on a character is I think Asians are hot.

Don't get me wrong I like Bishop cause he's cool. His roughness is explained by his growing up in another time, and he has displayed the fact that he has a heart. I don't care what race he is.
And Storm was cool as well, very gentle despite the whole goddess thing. she was really nurturing and the like. But again, I didn't care about what race she was. Hell I even had a poster of who I thought was her for a time up on my wall. Figured since comic book characters don't have a consistant look that it might as well have been her. And she looked like she was wearing one of thsoe savage land outfits IIRC. it was hot too.

hmmmmm savage land storm..... the tatters right?

Anways, I'm just speculating here, it's mostly due to one or two members admitting it, and another couple not denying it when called out.

I can't honestly say I can see much more appeal in the character. He was born out of blacksploitation and has almost always had a horrid design. His story and powers are very similar to other more notable and interesting characters, his personality is quite 2 demensional.

The best series I've ever seen of his was derived from his max series which isn't even canon. And, my personal favorite Blade incarnation was his movie version which I'm actually a fan of in contrast with his comic book counterpart.

I'm also a bit ticked at them for adding to the corruption and confusion.. that was not a glaive... A glaive is a pole arm. a type of slashing spear. It is not a shurikan, it is not a double ended kunai.

It's a polearm.

Blade disarmed, on his back, on the floor, pulls some plot device BS where he THINKS he's at an advantage, Wolverine dares him to do it with a smile, Blade pansies out, and Wolverine lets him go... because he's not a cape killer.

Blade disarmed? The vial was his main weapon.

Oh, and you think Blade is a cape killer?

If I'm to take "Cape killer" as being someone who kills superheros... Why don't you ask Spitfire?

She's a vampire. Is Logan a vampire?

Oh right, yur assertion that it was his "plan all along".......

For Wolverine to retract his claws and punch him in the face and eventually get into position to use the damned thing.... lol. Yeah.... delusional .

Blade to Spitfire "let me stake you"..... he'll do what he has to do to meet his ends regardless of morality. That's what I don't like about him most of the time nowdays.
