I think he means that you don't see it as a problem. You know, like "functional alcoholism".

being king of the free world,

You americans really have to stop saying that, it really pisses me off

One thing that pisses me off too is how apparently in the US socialist is a slur. There are no socialist politicians in the US, no Barack Obama is NOT socialist nor is socialism negative. Belgium and the rest of Europe have had universal healthcare and benefits for ages.

The Dutch we speak at home or wherever is a dialect that differs from dutch dutch to the point where dutch people wouldn't have a clue what the **** we're saying. And Dutch is our language as much as it is the language of the Dutch cause we have always spoken it, so it's not like we stole dutch from the dutch. Same with the french, and german is spoken in Belgium because we have acquired a part of Germany after WWI, so it's not like real Belgians speak German.

Please explain to me when our people have been speaking dutch since at least the 8th century how we stole it from the dutch?

I'm sure you can hear the difference:

Dutch Dutch:

Whereas of course your 'american' is not your own language, that being if you're not of 100% british descent.

I think the "we speak american" comment made it pretty clear he was being sarcastic.
