Lions and tigers and bears (oh my!) are usually the biggest attractions at the zoo.

Yeah, it certainly makes sense that they would eventually create a superdino. But I don't want to see that in a JP movie.

Well, like Lestov was saying, you'd think it never would have passed considering the bad history they've had. Unless of course plenty of time has passed and they get cocky and people have forgotten / been mislead about the terrible history. It could work I suppose... *could*

But I think there are plenty of other big draws to zoos than just the violent meat eaters. Some huge herbivores would be a big draw just because of mere size and they wouldn't be a threat. And small, cute dinosaurs would be a big draw.

I hope they have a good explanation for it otherwise it's kind of silly.

The same T-Rex from the first movie is back

Writer/director Colin Trevorrow on the returning character:

The T. Rex in this movie is the same T. Rex from JURASSIC PARK. She’s been on the island for 22 years. She’s still alive. She’s a little older, and she’s angry. All of these animals to me are as important in the cast as the humans. It’s been fascinating to find kinds of behavior because they go through such an evolution over the course of the movie. If people see this movie and aren’t as blown away by these images as I am, I’ll be disappointed.

So the Frog DNA is now gone...

Saw the trailer in 3D at the theater today and it actually looked pretty cool in 3D. The cool 3D dinosaurs definitely distracts from the goofiness.. lol

It looks fairly cool, gonna watch it at the theater for sure.

Same here.

Me too.

New images and a behind the scenes thing...

Looking forward to seeing this, even though I don't really expect any surprises, feel like the trailers have told everything. But should still be cool to see all the dinos.

Meh.

Read some spoilers and it sounds like it's going to be ****. I'm talking JP3 quality here.

I don't really expect any better than that. JP3 isn't ground breaking, but it's entertaining. Perhaps even moreso than JP2.

After watching the trailer again at the cinema tonight it struck me how dire this movie could end up. I don't know if the dialogue is deliberately terrible as a homage to cheesy 80s and 90s movies or if it's just terrible clichéd writing. I mean seriously

'if we're gonna do this, we do it MY way'

'she removed the tracking implant'...'how did she know how to do that?'...'she remembered when we put it in'

Deary me.

Yeah, surprisingly enough, though, it's getting decent reviews as a visually impressive popcorn flick with a B-movie premise. I dont think we're supposed to expect intelligent high art.

Cheesy dialogue works in conjunction with cheesy characters. The original was great because you had Richard Attenborough, Wayne Knight, Jeff Goldblum all playing quirky characters and in contrast, Bob Peck playing the serious hunter. This goes the opposite way.

How does Bryce Dollar Howard keep getting work? She's terrible.

Her dad's Ron Howard and she's cute.
