would be difficult to do on a board. Seeing as most people don't want their character to die, they'll do what is called moding. Namingly taking actions towards other peoples characters. Normal fighting go something like
characterA: *tries to punch B in the face*
characterB: *dodges low bringing his fist up in an attempt to hit A in the abdomens*
now on a board, A'll just say he hits B in the face, and so on and so forth
I have an idea: it's set in a futuristic Earth with laser rifles and such. Plagiarism became a popular game with organized rules and the National Plagiarism League, headquartered in Montreal, in the then independent Republic of Quebec, often takes its draft choices within the lesser leagues of plagiarism. Those lesser leagues of plagiarism often take their players from people who actually cheat in exams undetected or those tricked into cheating at school.
The players can take on the roles of players ,admins (either teams or the league) or referees. Of course, the referees are those who trick the players into cheating and each player tricked into cheating gives one point to the opposing team. The rules of NPL plagiarism are to be continued. And if you want, you can even take on several roles at once with the same character.
Many fictions of the SSBM game agree that the "Smashers" (those playable characters in the game) all reside in a mansion ran by Master Hand amd Crazy Hand (the final boss in the game) during the tournament. Now, the tournamnt is no longer limited to Nintendo but all games except MMORPGs. Crazy is the one who frocibly brings the Smasher to the mansion, against the Master's will.
The RP is not just about the tournament, (rarely anyway) but the Smashers just living together and Master Hand's frequent attempts to have them all murdered.
You will start the game in your respective universe until Crazy Hand (myself) appears to offer you a chance to partake in a friendly tournament. The prize will be the fact you got to prove you are the best interdimensional hero or villain. I will also play Master Hand along with two of my favorite game characters. Megaman and Protoman, despite never have playing their games. And if no one plays Samus either, I'll play her too.
You will live in the mansion, sometimes going places where Master Hand hopes you die a painful horrible death or partaking in the tournament where Crazy Hand will pair you up.
