Huh? You do understand that those scans are about the same fight/encounter that they had in Siege 1?? They are just different perspective, or view. Nothing new
Those scans take place after Ares was ripped in half, since Tyr visits the Asgardian hospital and is shown Ares' body.

I thought the foreshadowing of the "death of the God of War" was pretty neat.

^ Wouldn't be surprised if Loki put those visions into Knut to make Tyr afraid for the coming fight.

Me either. I honestly expect Loki to play a major role in the conclusion of Siege.

Yeah, I know. Those scans are from Thor 608. I've read it. I am just saying it's the same fight that was shown already, but only different angles

Lame, no Sentry/Thor fight in New Avengers.

The Siege has fallen apart, not just Osborn's Siege but the writing has started to unravel and its all gone off a cliff.
I understand why people aren't buying and are going for Blackest Night instead, Siege is a story just not worth selling even if they filled the splash pages with huge fight scenes it would still stink.

I also have a personal reason for cutting down on Siege, with the US and world economy in the toilet I will be buying quality with my money. If you pay out 4 bucks you want to be paying for one of the top stories. My hours are cut back so Ive less money and rent to pay and with exams coming I probably would have been cutting back on comics anyway but most of this Avengers/Thor/Siege stuff I don't like. The Mighty Avengers with crazy Hank, the bots, I like what they did with Cho and Hercules got a send off. That comic I might give a good thumbs up

Siege I don't think I will really buy anymore
It's not worth even getting a TPB, there are lots of comics I will recoomend to my friends. The Kingdom Come, Civil War, Annihilation etc but Siege doesn't hold up, Siege does have one or two gems but overall I think Siege is becoming worthless

If it is Sentry, it would a complete and utter shit way to end Siege.

Bendis brain stormed then got himself inspired by random other comic arcs. You can see the whole thing was badly planned, I wish a lot of other writers could have stepped in because there are 1 or 2 gems in this arc. If more writers came to the table they could have saved this mess

average asgardian is class 30 with superior durability to SM 😬

I hated that, I sometimes get the feeling the reason they punked Asgard was to get back at JMS. Yeah there were complaints some comics came slow when he was at Thor but J. Michael Straczynski planned great and he done wonderful building up the power and mythology of Thor. JMS revealed himself and Marvel's Editor Joe Quesada are no longer on speaking terms. Perhaps after JMS was fired Joe ordered Asgard to be in the cross hairs and agreed with Bendis it would be a good idea to disassemble everything JMS built up. I hate the way Asgard looks and feels now, none of them have any credibility anymore. Bendis made them Earth's greatest jobbers.

LOL. Thor was down already in Thor 607. It was shown in that book. In this book (608), Ares is already killed and Heimdall is looking for Loki but also observes the Thor/Sentry in Siege 3. At the same time, Clor and Volstagg are battling beneath Asgard when it collapses.

I haven't really been following Siege all that much (I plan on reading it after it's concluded.) Anyhow, can someone fill me in on Loki's current whereabouts?

Not sure where he is currently in Siege. But he did contribute to removing Heimdall temporarily so Osborn's forces could surprise Asgard. He's been missing in the Siege books but did show up in Thor 607. He'll probably surface in Siege 4 and Thor 609.

he was in Seige #1...but only for a few panels and didn't really do anything but talk

QFT.

I actually liked that Thor was self contained in his own personal niche of the Marvel Universe. Lately, after JMS's leaving, I just have this feeling that Marvel Editorial could really give a flying crap about the development of Thor and his supporting cast outside of just selling comics to make a quick buck. I keep hearing that Siege is "7 years in the making" which disheartens me because it certainly doesn't feel like it; it feels incredibly rushed and almost as if it was only pushed to the forefront to attempt to upstage Blackest Night. Granted, Blackest Night is far from perfect, but I can find more positive things about it than I can negative. I would have hoped that with Siege, being a Thor/Asgard focused event, and me, being an avid Thor fan since I was a tyke, I would have been far more enthralled by it than I am currently.

Exactly.

Other things Quesada is responsible for: Cancer, A.I.D.S., there being no air in space, the holocaust, nukes, poverty...

Seriously, people.

Look, I like JMS too, but I was getting tired of 4-6 issues a year of Thor, just because 'he's so busy'. 🙄
Let's remember he was the writer of two of the most controversial Spider Man arcs this past decade - One More Day & Sins Of The Past, which seriously f*cked some things up. And Supreme Power went from awesome to completely running out of steam, because - 'he's so busy'.

I will be very surprised if he can keep a monthly schedule on Superman & Wonder Woman.

Name one better way to freak out a homophobe, then consider you're a guy who loves messing with people.

Exactly.

I am a guy who likes messing with people, but I draw the line at physical contact. But then again, I don't have the confidence claws can give you.
