from a quick look on the previews the tie ins are going to explain what was left unsaid in the main issue...like the fight with hood's gang

And Taskmaster vs both Captain America's.

Which will be sweet, and I'm trusting Gage not to have Tasky job to either o' them...

And considering so far he's hung with Fandral and Hogun, I doubt Gage will suddenly make him job. 😄

Is it just me, or does Gargan's Venom suit look more like the classic Brock Venom in that artwork?

Not just you

It does look like classic Venom suit.

Even the Anti-Venom, wore by Brock looks silly and similar to Gargan's usual look.

thats pretty lame, how venom was betaing up asgardians then SM comes along and conencts him making him bleed

average asgardian is class 30 with superior durability to SM 😬

You do understand the idea of fodder, yes? And you've read a big event comic that's occurred in the last 30 years or so? This is how it goes...and is too inconsequential to complain about from a powers standpoint. Comics will never, ever, cater to strict power scales.

Which is why all the Sentry/Thor nonsense right now on the forums is also amusing. Same idea, bigger scale. At least it's revolving around main characters, so there's a bit more justification to the complaints, though not much more.

Digi hit the nail again, like I've been saying for ages.

Too many people spend too much time online and in Vs Forums that they start to think their idea of how fights should go is fact.

It's not. Get over it. Power scale 'til your heart's content online, but the writers do not do the same.

Until Thor's losing to Jubilee, why sweat it?

yeah i understand what your saying but even still it seems being asgardian doesn't seem to mean much more than having a fancy title

Agreed. But you could substitute "being Asgardian" in that statement for dozens of large groups within comics and it would be just as applicable. GLC, member of SHIELD/Hydra/AIM/Checkmate/etc. or even just background characters to the main drama in some superhero team book. Frankly, it can be ignored, both as a story element and as a power level thing. Hell, I've seen Sentry getting knocked around by lesser opponents when he's fighting in the background as well...nobody counts it against him, nor should they. It's just background noise to give the story a sense of grandeur.

i guess this is somewhat a spoiler of a death in siege...but not really

If it is Sentry, it would a complete and utter shit way to end Siege.

He is OUT OF CONTROL, to put it mildly. Not like he can just walk away from ripping Ares in half. So Bob & the Void go one-on-one and he ends up in a coma...?

I just hope they don't try to cast Sentry in some heroic light by having him beat/kill Void at the expense of his own life. It would just be stupid, imo.

kudos to Osborne for not going out the way i thought it would play out. cuz i was sincerely holding my breath til he just flipped out and lost his shit and self destructed...hear that DC? thats how you wound up a company wide crossover....make the tie ins relevant and have the main story consists of awesomeness...incidentally its about time sentry and void became distinct and wholely separate entites cuz that spectre of insanity has been hanging over his head for far too long now..id like to see what he could do with a clear head...

and BTW has marvel forgotten that they have created a super massively awesome character named the Blue Marvel...who i argue is more powerful than the sentry.

It's hinted at that Blue Marvel is joining the Secret Avengers.

That would be cool.

I think it would be the best way to both end Sentry's character arc and start the Heroic Age myself.

Having the heroes pull out some last minute deus ex machina to beat the unbeatable Void would be much more stupid IMO. Of course they will and should still have a large role in determining in the final outcome.

i doubt that reed or stark is gonna pull out something stupid like that...dont you think they would have done it the other times the void attacked

Hey - he's the Thor of the 616 Universe, which is not exactly like ours. Just like the Thor from the Ultimate Universe is a bit different from him, the Thor of the DC Universe is a bit different...and so on. In other universes, he goes by names like Orion & Viking, too.

Well not intially, Marvel Thor seems to be based on The Lay of Harbard (where Thor looked like a dope). Then of course theres also the fact that he doesn't need to be like Thor of myth because of the reaspns you gave.
