Luke smashing into him was kinda dumb, but Count Nefaria is powered by Ionic Energy and Mrs. Marvel is an energy leech and Wolverine cuts pretty much everything his claws makes contact with. It wasn't as bad as you make it out to be IMO.

Probably not. Of course it isn't like he could do anything about it.
Haha, it was like Bendis wikied Nefaria and used that info as his basis for that book. The fact that Ms. Marvel drained him of energy (Something Bendis really played up in his run.) makes this a good bit more believable. Even the Luke Cage punch didn't actually do anything. Of course, it shouldn't even have budged Nefaria, but whatever. With the hard on Bendis has for Cage, I'm surprised he didn't have him solo Nefaria.
Either way you look at it though, Nefaria did job to an extent here.
Bendis should have had Thor jump in and beat the shit out of him instead of Wolverine. That would have actually have made sense.
And isn't Nefaria made out of pure ionic energy? Does he even have what we would define as flesh and blood? Just asking since I don't remember what Busiek's take on him was.
