Pretty much what I was inclined to think here.
It might be standard issue for most New Gods, I don't recall Kalibak resorting to it often/at all?... 😕

I think they all have some variant of the motherbox for no other reason than to create boomtubes (the Apokolips version is called a fatherbox). Hell, if Powerboy has one I assume the son of Darkseid does as well.

Kalibak has fought Orion and Superman...if he didn't have comparable durability to them then it wouldn't even be a fight.
As for Darksied KOing Kalibak, keep in mind that before he was jobbing to Superman Darksied was traveling around the cosmos killing entire pantheons of gods by himself. I believe this was during Walt Simonson's run on Orion but the scans should be in his respect thread.
The Beta-club is considered to be neigh-indestructible. Not sure if Wolverine could actually damage it. Not sure if Adamantium>Apokolpian tech

Hulk has fought surfer and thor and STILL get sliced up by wolverine.
I know what darkseid is capable of but that still doesnt change the fact that he pimp slap Kalibak on a daily basis koing him.
You could be right, that club might be invulnerable or it might not, we will never know if its comparable to wolverine adamantium claws. i guess Kalibak would get whatever hand hes using that club on cut off.

Errr? The Grasscuter (Kusanagi) is basically Japan's Excalibur. Its highly magical and quite powerful, far from a normal sword.
Also yeah I think the machine gun thing happened in the Oeming Ares mini.
