One more time so people can see just how disconnected Abhil's interpretation is from the writers:

"When Superman and Superman 2 are in proximity to one another, crazy stuff happens - as it did for anyone who got too close to their "other". So as a combination of that fact and the amount of power the two were exerting against one another, their histories "swapped." Our Superman "grew up" in a 1950's style world and "Superman 2" grew up in our world. Ultimately, each one believed that the other's world was sick and corrupt, but discovered that they could not "fix" the other's world, and in fact made things worse.

This all happened in flashes during the battle, and in the end were "fragments of reality" not the actual history of either universe - just memories shared by the two Supermen."

Never knew about that. That just broke one of Superman's greatest striking feats.

Myth busted!

Yeah, I don't really care what Abhil says, I just want the general forum goers to know what actually happened.

Let the rebuilding of the House of El commence.

No it isn't. Post the scan if it is.

Oh you can ignore it if you want, frankly I don't care what you believe it's pretty obvious that you're delusional at this point. But I'm going to post the writer explaining the comic again so everyone else sees just how damaged your ability to interpret on panel shit is.
As per forum rules, its invalid to use interviews to discard feats.

An obscure interview given by someone involved in a story arc is not proof to refute feats. Neither is a random post by a supposed writer on a message board, blogs, tweets, etc. There have been too many of these so called interviews which go against what's shown on panel. Especially when there is no dialogue to refute what's happening on panel. Most writers are clear with the intentions of the plot and story arc.

I should just report you and done with it.

Lol, you're insane. Do you not notice the correlation between the world breaking and them relieving each others memories?

And? They literally broke the world apart. "Who can strike with such force", it doesn't gets any clear than that.

What are you talking about? We see the damage, and it's far less impressive.
From a different fight you mean?

Alright, don't listen to me, carry on with your mad interpretation, I could care less.
I could care less with your lowballing and posting invalid interviews too. Post the link where the interview took place though.

This is the fight between two counterparts from different universes too. Tell me where did all that shit happened

An interview doesn't supersedes on panel stuff especially when its wrong.

No one is discarding feats, everyone already explained to you what happened. I thought the writer's words supporting the obvious on panel evidence would help you understand.

But like I said, I don't care what you think, the feat has been "mythbusted". I'm content. 🙂

So you're sticking with the idea that with every punch they shattered and remade the actual, physical Earth? 😂

Alright, whatever you say.

What? That aftermath was a result of the Kal-L and Kal-El fight.

Do you seriously think a fight between Powergirl/Supergirl disproves the very clear explanation as to why Superman/Kal-L where experiencing flashbacks during Infinite Crisis? Counterparts fight all the time, that doesn't mean the reason being introduced in a completely different comic with different circumstances become invalid.

No it really doesn't. Interviews are pretty much absolute garbage most of the time and should be taken on a case by case basis. Fortunately, there's nothing contradictory here.

Their punches alone weren't doing all that damage to reality.

Personally, I do think that if said fight took place during Alexander Luthor's meddling, it's difficult to ascribe how much damage they did on their own and how much was due to the Multiverse being crapped all over. It's still a good feat (great even if you subscribe that E-2 Superman was at PC levels, which I do not, but he was still very much an angry Kryptonian fighting against a Superman who was not as motivated as he).

They weren't even damaging reality (I.e the physical makeup of everything) but their own histories. They kept shattering their -personal- world and reliving each others lives with flashbacks.

Their own personal power had some impact, yes, but the mess with the Multiverse/counterparts etc. was a primary contributor for this effect.

But whatever, I'm done discussing this feat.

I posted them.

You are though. Posting interviews and what not hoping that would help you.

By an interview? Should I post Jurgens interview busting myths about Thor's strength here? Get real.

Go ahead sweetheart, open that floodgate. We'll see who'll get banned first. 🙂
No need sweetie, you would get a warning for nothing.

That's what was stated on panel. Next time you post a feat for thor, I would just post a 😂 and be done with it.

Alright, whatever you say.
Thank you sweetie. now go make me a sandwich.

What you posted was this

"When Superman and Superman 2 are in proximity to one another, crazy stuff happens - as it did for anyone who got too close to their "other".
So Supergirl and Power Girl aren't counterparts? They didn't fight? Don't back-peddle now sweetie. Explain that to me why I shouldn't just disregard the whole interview?

They are invalid, period. Unless you want me to call bada or pr here.

Reality? I can take that. Shattering earth as they explained it? Absolutely.

Kal-L was a PC Kryptonian whose feats are still intact as his whole history, it matters little what you think or don't. They were shattering earth as explained by their punches.

His general history may be intact but its abundantly clear his formidability wasn't the same as back then based on what he showed. So, yes, what I think matters quite a bit considering it's a very valid stance to take.

Sweetie? Okay I'm going to stop now before this turns into a game of who can get the biggest reaction out of who.

Agreed to disagree or whatever. My point has been made already, if I have time later I'll condense it down for the myth buster thread.

Could you please post or message me the Jurgen interview mentioned. I don't shy away from information just because it might reflect my favorite character unfavorably.

Why? Because he stalemated superman?

Whatever you say sweetie.

Don't tell me you haven't heard of Jurgens' "Superman is millions of times stronger than thor" interview?

Guys, cut it out.

He's talking about the fan interview where he made a joke about Superman being millions of times stronger, what abhi fails to mention is that Jurgens also stated that Thor would win a fight.

BTW, Jurgens later posted and confirmed that the millions of times stronger comment was in fact a joke. Hell, I've had Jurgens quote in my sig for years.

Lockdown imminent.

all the superman threads get closed too early

This is why I should be the leader of the House of El.
