Well, if we use real world science. With Thor's hammer forged from the core of a collapsing star, taking the average mass of a neutron strar of 1cu cm being 5,500,000,000,000 kg. multiplied by 7168 cu cm. (the hammer's volume) equaling 3.9x10^13 tons and ALSO capable of moving at sub light speeds, then one can see why indeed these hammer strikes can hurt.

You Can't argue with the writer explaining the scene.

His general history may be intact but its abundantly clear his formidability wasn't the same as back then based on what he showed. So, yes, what I think matters quite a bit considering it's a very valid stance to take.

Some people forget the almighty super punch! 😛

And yes, Mjolnir slam is more powerful than Superman punch.

Still superman.

Depends on the writer at the time. Right now Thor is the winner, tomorrow it could be Supes.

Pre-Crisis Superman>Thor
Pre-Flashpoint Superman=<Thor
DCnU Superman<Thor
KC Superman> Thor

There is quite a number of Supermen.

no there isn't

Points to the multiple posts explaining the context involved in that scene.

Thor currently

There is context but did in fact affected the time stream. I still think it requires more force to alter the time stream than to shatter a world.

And this particular sm feat, imo is not a world shattering feat but a time altering feat via physical force. With context behind, but still more impresive than others.

Only kryptonians involved in that arc achieved the same results. I honestly do not know why this feat was being presented as a world shattering feat, when it does not need to be
