And the second leg is coming to an end!

The Epireans are now coming to the security perimeter of your base. That's a grand term for what basically equates to an imaginary line that you don't like people coming beyond- not even your Epirean bodyguards, who sometimes get the honour of patrolling the area.

Coming in from the south, this perimeter run will take the runners clockwise around the base for three quarters of a circle before they reach the east side.

Galder keeps running up toward the 'perimeter,' thinking of how he wants it to be one day an actual perimeter with defenses instead of just a made-up line that allows him to murder Epireans when they cross it.

Gorag has really fallen behind so Xavier isn't too worried about winning the race so he'll stay and wait for the person to move.

Uhoh! Very well then...

Where is Gallador's craft in relation to Galder? I'm assuming he's been keeping up with the race, and I want to jump onto it.

Incidentally, just some indulgence I am asking of you here- the xp calculations I did on you guys have helped inform the revised xp system, which might see some noticable changes about how people go about stuff.

That means I will be revising my earlier statements in this area.

By good fortune, Galder's time between Avalar and Gonderkroo, it turns out, will have netted him roughly 100 experience (my off-line character in the same period got 105, and Galder missed the start of the first story so 100 seems about right). I can judge everyone else relative to that.

Some things are going to be significantly cheaper- the buying of schticks is going to be encouraged, especially Force powers. Effective refunds will be paid into your xp bank.

Ok, here are the new calculations.

Galder's three new force powers actually cost him... 18. His gun scthick cost him 12 and his new skill cost him 4. That's only 34 xp.

What is not finalised yet is how much his sabre cost would have cost him- but I doubt it is more than 40, That being the case... Galder gets 25 experience points, and he may get more depending on how much sabre actually ends up costing him.

Rand's two force powers cost him 12 as opposed to 43. A slight change. A new skill cost him 4, for an expenditure of 16 xp. Rand is due 48 xp after Gonderkorro, so he gains 32 xp plus 2 xp for Manifest Destiny plus whatever he earned from Retrospection (if you guys can calculate these totals and remind me of anything you already spent it on from the last time I updated this, that will make my life easier)

Rianna's force powers cost her 12 and her skills cost her 8. On the same xp schedule as Rand, that makes her due 28xp plus whatever she got from Retrospection.

Tanic has spent 24 xp on Force and Gun schticks. His reduced acitivty means he ha searned 36 in total, so that gives him 12 to play with!, plus Retrospection

Gallador has spent 12 of 36 xp. He gets 24 to spend, plus Retrospection!

Xaver spent 6 of 12; he gets 6 plus Retrospection. It all adds up!

Dak spent 34 (his skills are well increased), which is most of what he has earned. He gets 2xp plus Retrospection.

Relle has 12, Con and Azarl have 16, exactly as before.

Now, the above might be subject to some final alterations but you can plan on this basis.

The provisional new costs are:

6 xp for a Force power

9 for a Combat or Pilot Schtick

12 for a Gun or Blade scthick

4 points for a new skill at 1.

Double the new skill level for increasing skills.

Four times the new level to increase a Mental stat

Six times new level to increase a Physical stat

It is not yet decided what the cost will be to increase Force, Lightsabre or penalties for increasing a fighting skill in general. Defence is also locked out.

Long story short- if you want to spend on skills or schticks, go for it. If there turns out to be a change, I'll just adjust your xp award for the next episode.

Just looking at some of your announced spending.

Galder- be aware that a Gun and Pilot schtick together would now have cost you 18, though that still leaves you 7 in credit and you might be getting more depending on how much your sabre increase cost you.

Rand- your Defence buyback cost you 6.

Dak- Master Co-ordination now cost you only 6.

I seem to have repeated my mistake with Rianna; she only bought two new powers, so add another 6 xp on to your total there; that is 28 you have, plus Retrospection. I've corrected the main post.

Azarl- Perfect Strike cost you 12, exactly as before, so that's pretty simple for you!

Did I miss anything? I don't have a record of what you might have spent on, Con.

Please note these are your TOTALS at the end of episode IV, including the award for that story. You'll get a little more at the end of this interlude.

Apparently, I'm very confusing or something.

So with two completed Retrospection games for Rianna, that should bring me to a total of 32.

Which is going to stay saved away until I know how much it'll cost to increase my Force rating. Hopefully that will be enough to cover it...

Rand and Gallador have done Retro with different characters, so they are not due any xp for that.

Rianna gets 4xp, Xavier gets 6xp, Con gets 2xp, Dak gets 2xp.

...are we sure that lowering the cost on Force powers was a good idea? 😛
