Hard to say, I've never done it, have you? Actual effects of modern day warp drive? Oh yeah, it doesn't exist.
Just watched a show (forgot the Asian's name, he's a top theoretical physicist), he explained how a warp-drive is possible with dark matter, we just don't have the capabilities to make enough of it and it contain it, at least not yet.
Edit: remembered his name; it's Michio Kaku.

Yeah. That guy is cool. He shows up a lot on Discovery channel doing interviews for tons of sh*t because he just knows so damn much about everything. He was on the AI episode, he was on the genetics episode, on several futre physics episdoes (like the one you described), and many others that I'm forgetting about. I'd like to meet him one day and just talk about stuff.

No, I answered your question with another question.Kirk wont be able to see the wizards, he will likely enter the atmosphere looking for them, Voldy will see him, apparate aboard, pwn them. Kirk will NOT raze the planet, so dont even bring that up.
Wait wait wait. Voldemort will look up at the NCC Enterprise appears in the atmosphere, will see Kirk somewhere within the massive, and I repeat, massive ship that houses more crew members than ol' Voldy can shake a wand at, apparate aboard, and kill them?
Originally posted by XanatosForeverFirst of all, Kirk cant see them. Second of all, if he uses scanners, he wont be able to determine muggle from wizards.

Now, IF Kirk appears where Voldy can see him, then Voldy CAN apparate to the bridge, cats Fiendfyre, and disappear.
No matter how you twist it, the Enterprise is ****ed.
I never once said anything about Kirk seeing Voldemort, I was just questioning your comment of Voldemort somehow being able to pinpoint where exactly Kirk is within the confines of the Enterprise, because unless Kirk beams down to the planet a la away mission, he's not going to be an obvious target.

Shield charms, dude. How is a sensor gonna determine a wizard from a muggle?
they've been able to detect beings that were out of phase with our dimension. they'd detect some sort of anomoly.

yeah same here, but here comes Q and he destroys Voldemort 🙂 😛
and you know he would lol...
