Yea, I agree. Erza was calm, Kagura was mad and lost her composure. Kagura *still* probably had at least as much power, but Erza was able to use focus and speed.

I can see a lot of moe moments between Erza and Kagura now.

The flashback was revealing and how cruel those dark cultist were. It looked like Erza was captured and raped ! 😠

Doujin would be fine though. 😮

I agree. It seems to imply, heavily, that those girls were raped after being captured.

See, who says you can't make a manga meant to be safe for older kids still have extreme adult content? It takes writing talent to imply that kind of shit without stating it outright. 🙂

At any point in history when this was done during a raid, it was to use them as sex slaves (and, often, as a secondary extension, slave labor as they got older). I am having a very difficult time thinking of any circumstance that a raid like that was used for anything by sex-trafficking.

They were an evil cult...evil cults do evil things and getting slave labor from just children seems to be a bit too innocuous of an interpretation of what was actually happening.

Except... we saw that's what's happened! We already knew that bit! And none of the characters who went through it suggest that it was the case.

Hm, considering they did get the old fairy tail guy too, I think it was part 'people who can't fight back/revolt,' but also part simple time. Remember that the tower was only finally completed when Erza and Jellal were adults. Meaning they wanted slaves they could train to be compliant and use for a decade.

Yeah. I was surprised he was holding his own against Laxus. Now I'm just hoping he gets oneshot owned so we can have Laxus vs Jura extravaganza
