Introducing the tartarus thing and demon slayers was majorly lame IMO. I mean, come on, all that build up for the dragons and turns out there's this uber demon slayer thingy that uses charms? Really? charms? lame!
Not to mention jellal having a stupidly hard time with orasions seis and losing like a pussy considering that he was supposedly one of the most uber mage out there. LAME! Laxus went boss on everyone, raven tail included and Jellal couldn't handle a bunch of scrubs who lost to lucy, grey, leon and natus? LAME!
Can't believe Hiro's really going there with Silver's identity. Also Erza has a heck of a pain tolerance: then again she did have the god-armor prior to this.

I found them pretty badass.. and what charms? They don't use charms, they use magic-so-strong-it's-called-a-curse.
The dragon plotline isn't done of course, they built them up, and put them aside for now because the characters aren't ready for them. They have built up Zeref demons a lot too.

Uh, you *do* realize that Oracion Seis was one of the three Balam Alliance guilds? I consider it more an impressive thing that he's fighting and doing so well against the entire Oracion Seis as it is, almost all of them required multiple strong mages to beat, and he's taking on 5 and then gets a cheap shot from Zero, who was beating up Natsu about as well as Jellal did?
Oracion Seis is still a very strong group.

to each his own, i found it extremely lame. especially that first fight with tempesta or whatever vs laxus... all that build up and bad assery against the lightning tribe and BOOM! easy win! Sure, some can argue that Laxus is one mean SOB, but still... plus that die once thing and that killer cloud thingy? ungh! cheezy and lame at the same time.
sure, they may not be ready, but it would have been better IMO if the story continued along the lines of finding out what da frap happened and getting stronger and ready and integrate zerefe there and not this garbage.
as for the curse/charm thingy, i recall jackal saying to that they didn't use magic and they used something more powerful..here it is

Some meteor or whatever of his uber magic would have been nice, but noooooo! he goes all natsu on them punching and dashing with his glowing fist! WTF is that? did he suddenly lose a bunch of his brain cells and forgot about his uber magics? why risk a physical confrontation when he knows that he's being hunted?
Also, stupid Merady (spelling), what a wuss! sure, Jellal went all alpha on her and said to sit it out, but she doens't have to join the fray, a shot of link magic and its lights out for orasion seis. but noooooooooooo!!!! she also lost a bunch of brain cells during the time skip.
i hope you see where I'm getting at, Jellal's fight was or could have been easily won if both jellal and meredy (spelling?) fought in character using more of their brains instead of going Natsu. sure, it was used to further the plot, but to re-write and change a character's personality on the fly? lameness...
frankly, one of the things that I enjoyed about fairy tail was that everyone had an identity but recently, they all started acting like natsu all fist a blazing with zero thought. one brain dead brawling crazy person is enough, but when everyone ends up loosing brain cells...DAMN! even lucy is into rushing in now all YEAH!!!! here I GO!! GATES OOOOOPEEENN!!!!.... woooooppsss.... was that a trap? and she was one of the sensible ones too...
note, I'm not dissing anyone, its just that I'm extremely disappointed with how things are progressing and how the characters are regressing IMO. I'm actually no longer enjoying FT, I just read it for the sake of reading...like how I'm still readying History's strongest disciple, the plot has gotten over blown up that its no longer fun...good thing there's a lot of fan service 😛 but still, i dont care about the master's, i want to see kenichi's development..but noooo.... more masters story lines... lame!
then again, a lot of the manga scanlations i follow has turned into some crazy convoluted crapy shyet just to extend it... nartuo? unnng! bleach? unnnggh! freezing? unnnnggg! claymore?.... yeah... claymore is still good imo, but its a once a month release...so...uuunnggh! high school of the dead?... well, no release since forever, but the last one once uuunnnghh!!!

Why? I mean, what, specifically, is bad about it? They have powers like mass-poison, touch explosion, body-control, turning people into demons... these strike me as badass powers. And it stems from them being actual demons. Demons having different powers past normal magic doesn't strike me as 'lame'.

All Jellal was billed as was a wizard saint/council member. Why do you assume he'd be able to match a group like Oracion Seis solo? Oracion Seis was billed as one of the strongest groups of dark mages. And heck, he was doing surprisingly well!

What makes you say that? Meredy's strong, sure, but hardly enough to make it an 'easy win,' she was one of the weakest Kin of Purgatory.
