Well well, we get Tartarus kicking butt again- this guy is strong.

Too bad it will all be for naught. This whole fight feels rather lame after just coming from Grey and Silver.

Also, way to pander to your fan base Hiro.

I like this fight. Even though Gajeel will win the fight itself is entertaining. Way better than most OP fights with forgone conclusions.

Yea. And, even when the fight's over... Lucy and Natsu are poisoned now. Maybe they'll recover reasonably fast once the guy's out, but team FT is getting pretty ground down by these fights.

It also strikes me- last chapter, they did the 'we're so confident we'll bicker among ourselves,' thing. This chapter, they got punished for it.

I guess it was a definite change of pace to see the bad guys completely own Natsu or Gajeel for the moment at least. I see this going a bit differently had they not been so stupid though.

I like this chapter.

New FT Zero chapter. Mavis is pretty cool.

New Gray story up. Interesting plot development.

I like Gajeel a bit more. It was a decent chapter and I was glad to see Gajeel get some of the light.

Gajeel eating carbon makes more sense than eating Shadows at least.

It's eating *magic* which is the thing with the shadows.

"Oooh, yea, I can cast air magic rather than just kiss people!" was cute ^^

Yeah but I always like the magic to have some sort of connection to what the slayers are actually able to eat. Like Natsu eating lightning is fine cause it can create fire by hitting things.

And man, Levy and Gajeel have good chemistry. Shame about that one time he beat the shit out her.

Hiro should give Natsu an ability similar to "second gear", like Luffy. Like heating up his body to increase his power, but we are past that point. 😛

Levy x Gajeel wouldn't be right, if he didn't beat her.

I think someone won the upgrade contest! Though the baddies respond by upgrading one of theirs, one of their already-more-formidable ones at that.

One thing that Mashima does well is beat the utter living shit out of the protagonists. I mean, the utter living shit...completely beat down. But then someone in Fairy Tail curb stomps a baddie.

That makes the curb stomps MUCH more satisfying. This is why I continue to read Fairy Tail. 🙂

But the curbstomps have become more tolerable as of late mostly due in part that these aren't Erza related.
