Hey, guys! I haven't been keeping up with the manga, so I'm wondering, how far ahead of the anime is it? (No spoilers, please.)

I think the anime is about one little arc and one big arc behind. It's on an anime-only arc, and the manga just finished a big arc.

What do you mean?

The knock back thing? Was Natsu unable to knock him back, before (I forget...they had a fight like that, before, iirc).

I was pointing out that Gildartz was holding back, greatly:

He was, but just a small amount after a lot of trying. Now, right off the bat he was able to do far more.

I've heard people call the most recent arc the best in FT. Yea or nay?

Other than the Sex-Slave and Torture bondage porn with Erza, there was really nothing remarkable about this arc. Prolly the revelation on where the dragons went was the single biggest plot reveal in the series' entire history, however. That was a big question from the very beginning.

Erza also didn't have "Hiro-Force"(This is what I'm calling it now) this time so that's a thing.

Oh and did Gildartz just get written out of the story again?

There were some really good fights and a few clever moments in the arc. Like Lucy tricking a demon to let Natsu go by making him think he was a celestial spirit.

I've just got back into the FT manga.
I read up on the wikia to cover up everything I've missed.

Does FT regularly show this much fan service now in the manga?

No.

So, Natsu's a badass now and we're in a 'reunite the gang' arc.

It seems like Lamia has their own 'Phantom Lord'!

He's been a badass since his introduction. lol It is crazy to see him tank a dude's attack that gave FT problems back in the day, but with how much stronger they were in just the 7 year skip training, it makes sense.

Yea. Both of them are weaker than, but can fight, Gildartz. This should be interesting 🙂

I was wondering how much weaker he is than Gildartz now. That little stint they had in the Natsu training arc was still early in his training. it would be interesting to see how current FT members stack up to Gildartz now since he's basically the benchmark for badassness.

I gotta admit to boo'ing. This is why people dislike the Fairy Tail protagonists a lot lol.

Well kind of. This is far from Hiro's worst though.

I dunno man. At least Erza has to fight for a little bit.

Edit: The worst is still Laxus curb stomping an entire GMG without an issue. And the worst Natsu stomp is the beating he gave Rouge and Sting(who will never recover from it).
