yup, they are kyle's will made "flesh", and cease to be when he wills them to (they will after they do their job)

how what we posted is concidered an equal offense is a mystery.

That's right. We're not fracturing Kyle's persona into 5 people or anything like that.
They're akin to the puppet on the scans I've just posted. Again, sorry for confusing you people with Oblivion scans. So our opponents thought we do EXACTLY how it was done there- aka summoning forth different aspects of Rayner's persona in the form that takes flesh.
That's where the confusion steems from.

And Kyle is hypnotised in prep to make sure he can mantain control over 5 such complicated costructs performing different tasks. Also, Gundam, could you please repost the scans of what we're actually doing in debate thread (the Oblivion was used only for reference Kyle can give superpowers to his constructs).

Some pre-crisis feats are pretty reasonable.

Bats and Khan are more than capable enough of deciding on single feats. I mean, Superman wasn't all moving Galaxies and the like. A lot of characters, Lanterns in example, had pretty decent feats in PC. Feats that weren't crazy, just allright.

TBH I used ONE feat from very LATE pre-crisis (1985) when arguing for Zee, but she did the same Despero owning stuff post-crisis, even on grander scale, so I thought the powerlevel is consistent.

I'm honestly a bit surprised that you guys don't know when to shut up.

The time to let this go was yesterday, your complaining has gone beyond the reasonable limit. This is disappointing.

So how should we vote concerning illegal parts of the debate? We ignore them?

This can change a lot the course of the match, so we better clarify before the debaters use any other posts.

If something is illegal it should be nullified by the judges right away so that the other team don't use their time and posts to counter something that doesn't matter either way.

Yup.

That's why I haven't mentioned Skuttlebutt since the prep-post, and never attempted to counter their Daxamite ideas. Me and KM were under the impression that everybody had decided to carry on and simply ignore the mistakes. That's what Khan and Bats seemed to go for anyways.

so, are these 'newly described' constructs now legal? PG is arguing in the match like they are. i just want to be clear on what's being allowed.

No Skuttlebutt and no Daxamites. Stormbreaker is obviously part of his standard equipment for a fight, while his ship is not and cannot be summoned to the fight. And the Daxamite constructs (a trick I believe have been used in a tourney before) also violate the letter and spirit of the rule.

There.

There.

that's what i thought but PG's post came well after that announcement. wasn't sure if kahn or bats went back on the decision, or if PG or cdb convinced them otherwise.

Hence my overly over the top outrageous outbursts 😎

It is it time to let it be now, and give peace a chance.

😐

Seriously, I'm tired of all the bitching on the subject. Kahn laid out all the stipulations in black and white context.

Any further complaining of the subject on Charlotte/psycho gundam's part will result in 1 post being taken away from both of you, leaving you with 4 posts per person instead of 5.

It's over.

A few more issues to clear up.

1. In general, Pre-Crisis feats are not allowed except when the competitors can prove that they are still considered canon for a certain character (ex. Hal Jordan)

2. We need teams to start submitting their initial posts as soon as possible if we want to get things moving

3. Teams should be aware that Batdude and I have decided to open back up the rosters after each round to allow teams to add/drop characters to make things a little more interesting.

On a personal note, I understand if some of you disagree with a decision Batdude and I make. And we've tried to give everyone a chance to voice their opinions one way or the other. Hosting a tournament is slightly stressful even with two people, so our patients can only go so far.

When something is clearly in violation of the rule (and was even the exact reason the rule was made) and we make our decision, let it go. We've tried to make the rules as clear as possible and made ourselves available to preview any questionable tactic. There is little more we can do aside from changing the rules mid-fight.

I'm willing to believe that both teams made their respective mistakes in good faith and I'm not inclined to hold it against them in the match. I assume most of the judges would agree with me on this. So adapt to it and get back to trying to win the match at hand.

OK, sorry about me being beyotch in that... Quite frankly, RL gets me busy enough to not care whether I win or lose that.

RL?

Abbreviations for Real Life.

you should ditch RL 😐

^^^ Any idea how this would work?

Any idea when the matches (minus our friggin' trainwreck) start?

Good lord ask Kris how busy I have been in my RL (NATCH! I got it)

Little tidbit last night I got to get a pic with the olympic torch.
