If you add up all the gimpings levied towards Palpatine and out of thread bonuses/tongue-to-ass given to Potter by RJ, Potter would likely win. Off the top of my head, here they are in no particular order.
Palpatine gimps in thread:
-Can only use one power, Force-lightning. Despite the powers shown in Ep1-3 would have happened before ROTJ.
-Will hold back as to not kill Potter, cuz.
-Is slower than Potter at activating this power.
-Is a moron who will continue to talk and not defend/attack while someone right in front of him is preparing to kill him.
-Becomes completely inept when the lights go out.
Potter handjobs levied out in thread:
-Can use any spell he used through all the films.
-Has magic items he had in all the films
-Can attack faster than he’s shown in the films.
-Has prep.
-Starts off with spell(s) active.
-Has non-verbal spells that would matter.
-Has the reflexes of a jungle cat.
-Is battle hardened as a seasoned SAS operative.
-Shield spell is utterly inpregnable in regards to Palpatine’s powers, no room for debate here, despite strong enough magic in the HP-verse countering that shield spell.
-Can attack freely while under the hold of a Force-choke.

Everyone thinks Harry is gonna sit back and wait for Palpatine to shoot force lightning before defending himself. You yourself said he has his wand, why's it so hard to believe he will have a shield charm in place before Palpatine attacks?
Like I said, Palpy obviously knows Harry and his powers, so Harry should know Palpy and his powers, and what Palpy will do when he says no. Luke? He was a ****ing idiot.
