ZOMG, he palmed Mjolnir, his Superman level!

When I have time, I'll post Chaos War: Thor #2 scans. Pretty interesting take on Thor. Shows that his a God a lot more than simply in name.

Also adds a lot of weight to the theory that Asgardians can be augmented through prayer.

This has nothing to do with anything, but I am getting really annoyed with how you keep saying 'his' instead of HE'S or HE IS(not that you're the only person I've seen do this, not even close).

Intentionally incorrect grammar is not glamorous or cool son. 😬

K. I'm done with my random outburst, carry on. 😄

Haha wtf.

Kay.

I think J.M. DeMatteis might have based this in the actual Norse Myth via the Elder Edda. The writer of the Elder Edda said that after Ragnarok, A God will come who will bring new Heaven and Earth. This God is above Odin himself. But in Marvel Comics, this would be God/TOAA.I guess this story is sending a message that Prayer makes a difference. It even powers up a Thunder God who actually believes in TOAA.

Thor ties up doc oc with his own "arms"

http://www.asitecalledfred.com/comics101/images/2004/feb18/hawkeye.jpg

Starting with the Red Hulk beating down Thor with his own hammer, it seemed like Marvel has absolutely no respect for a character anymore who has thousands of fans. Although I stuck with it, especially after Thor had "won" in a rematch. Then we saw Thor get taken down by a group of b-list villains, including Norman Osbourne, as they stood over him and made fun of him. ("Woof"😉. Okay, Thor gets rescued and then fights back, and eventually gets to kill the Sentry/Void, of course they couldn't even let this happen in a straight fight, the Void had to ask Thor to kill him! Again, it seems like Thor is getting no respect from Marvel.

On top of this, Marvel releases the Hulk VS DVD, where we see Thor humiliated YET AGAIN as the Hulk beats him down on Thor's own turf. And then there's the new Marvel Avengers cartoon, where Thor is constantly being showed up by the Hulk. And now, as far as I'm concerned, the last straw, the HORRIBLY drawn, and HORRIBLY written Let the Battle Begin. Where once again we see the Hulk humiliate Thor, by beating him down with his own hammer! I'm sorry, guys, I can only take so much. It seems like every time Thor "beats" someone, there's some built in "excuse", like the Void wanted to die, or the Red Hulk fight gets interrupted by the Green Hulk. Thor is really the reason I got into Marvel comics in the first place, and now its just one humiliation after another. He hasn't really beaten anyone lately, or done anything impressive at all. All he does is swing his hammer at people and shoot a lightning bolt here and there.

What happened to the Stan Lee days where Thor actually had some respect? Back in those days he was beating the Silver Surfer, fighting Mephisto and taking blasts from Galactus, and now he can't even beat Norman Osbourne's Dark Avengers. What's funny is that even the guys who took down Thor in Siege were surprised themselves! As if to say, "I can't believe it was that easy". I'm sure the Hulk would have come through that fight and beaten them all down. Or it would have at least put up a little bit more of a fight.

So what's the deal? What does Marvel have against Thor?

I stopped worrying about what Marvel now seems to have against Thor a while ago. :/ When I first saw the red hulk beating I was so irritated I really wanted to stop reading comics haha. Since Thor was brought back after ragnarock he has been used a punching bag for a lot of comics. While I understand why it was done, during siege #1 when Osborn and his other villains attacked Thor, why didnt he raise his hammer and absorb the blast? Afterwhich he could have just shot it back and killed all of them. He absorbed the U-Foes' blast the last time the fought so why not this time? Well because they needed to make it more dramatic I guess. Thor was down and Cap had to come help and the avengers would reunit and everything yeah yeah I get it. I just think bendis could have done a better job in his execution of that scene. And made Siege longer but oh well. The whole hulk beating the crap out of Thor during the Hulk vs Thor DVD was done out of popularity. Thor has fought a mindless rage hulk before and did not take the horrendous beating that he did in the movie. He didnt even lose. Same with the avengers series going on right now. Wow Thor could barely move graviton when he had his shields on and really had to work at it to do some damage but the hulk tears through him like no one business? no. Especially since Thor has upstaged in the strength department and just about everything else. I dont even know when that comic let the battle begin takes place. Thor is still in classic armor. Yet i saw an advertisement for the new Thor comics inside the comic. But the things is I know that these new low showing are bull. Everyone does. I just try not to worry about it i guess. :/

Thor destroys a second degree admantium ultron with a single shot.

Thor knocks launches multiple ultron robots.

Thor busts into ultrons lair with the rest of the avengers. Also a very cool pic.

Thor on his return was great that version of Odiforce Thor was pretty powerful. Tnaking the destroyer blast, the BOr fight taking on the suepr skrull that owned BRB.

Rulk was no low showing it was rivealed that Rulk aborbs cosmics and mythitcal energies. Thus how he tank Odinforce Thor hits and leveled a watcher. Plus Thor beat Rulk 2 times after ther fact. Then u foes and norman were ampped with the Norn stones which Tor then recovered and went toe 2 toe with void not too bad and it was Thor who put void down in the end anyway

As he is so incredibly powerful, it's not often that you see his victories attributed to his skill, but when they are, they are worth noting, such as here when he rescues a girl and defeats numerous street punks.
