I could care absolutely less how powerful Shiva is to his followers/worshipers. He lost to Thor. Get over it.
Except that he did beat Shiva. It was however retconned later to being Indra in disguise.
We aren't comic book characters. Acknowledge what happened. Then point out that it was later changed so it's not valid anymore. Simple.
Retcon still doesn't make sense -Shiva in that issue as one of the heads of his pantheon provided a portion of their godly life force- but it's politically correct or what have you.
