Thor doesn't demonstrate incredible skill only when powerless as seen here when he utterly dominates Mister Hyde in battle using his incredible skill in 60 seconds.

By now you must have realized that Thor is extremely proficient with weapons and that has always been the case, as seen here when a young Thor easily schools a fellow Asgardian in battle.

Thor goes on to easily defeat Sif as well.

Note: Sif is an incredibly skilled warrior in her own right as seen here when she easily bests Volstagg.

A drop kick to an opponent's face is always fun.

Thor outmaneuvers the Super Skrull with his abilities.

The Absorbing Man believed that simply possessing all of Thor's powers made them equals, but he soon learned that was not the case, when Thor outfights him in moments using his superior skill.

"How can I fight 'Im? He's everywhere at once!!" is how Crusher Creel describes Thor who beats him down using his incredible fighting skills.

Thor might brawl like a brick against his peers in strength, but that because he chooses to. When he uses his skills, the fight gets one sided, even if his opponent is someone as formidable as the Juggernaut.
http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e139/RageOfTheGod/Thor/JuggernautvsThor6.jpg
http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e139/RageOfTheGod/Thor/JuggernautvsThor7.jpg

After their teammates were defeated, Thor and Hercules take on the Exemplars -beings who are peers to the Juggernaut- "in a display of skill and strength that rivals anything seen in Earth's long history." If they were not so outnumbered,"their centuries of experience" would have allowed them to win.
http://i989.photobucket.com/albums/af17/RageOfOlympus/Thor/Thorskill2.jpg

Thor once again shows what separates him from other powerhouses when he beats the utter shit out of an amped Loki and Fenris without letting them lay a hand on him.

http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e139/RageOfTheGod/Thor/RagnarokThor32.jpg

The Man Beast was apparently an incredibly skilled individual, possessing the knowledge of every form of combat evolved by a million years, and Thor's fighting prowess still proves to be the superior.

Even a warrior as fabled as Hercules notes Thor's impressive skills.
http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e139/RageOfTheGod/Thor/Thorskill.jpg

Captain America himself has described Thor's abilities as such: "He is an expert combatant; having been trained for hundreds of years in the art of war. His understanding of tactics and strategies encompasses the teachings of cultures over several centuries. Thor has shown himself to be proficient as a swordsman and in the use of his enchanted Uru hammer, Mjolnir."

and people were trying to put Superman on the same lvl in h2h with Thor. That is a really impressive list.

Thanks.

Here's Steve Roger's latest -brief- breakdown on Thor:

According to this issue/Rogers, Thor's more powerful than Bill, Hulk etc. The only person on the list with the same power rating is Silver Surfer IIRC.

Starting with the Red Hulk beating down Thor with his own hammer, it seemed like Marvel has absolutely no respect for a character anymore who has thousands of fans. Although I stuck with it, especially after Thor had "won" in a rematch. Then we saw Thor get taken down by a group of b-list villains, including Norman Osbourne, as they stood over him and made fun of him. ("Woof"😉. Okay, Thor gets rescued and then fights back, and eventually gets to kill the Sentry/Void, of course they couldn't even let this happen in a straight fight, the Void had to ask Thor to kill him! Again, it seems like Thor is getting no respect from Marvel.

On top of this, Marvel releases the Hulk VS DVD, where we see Thor humiliated YET AGAIN as the Hulk beats him down on Thor's own turf. And then there's the new Marvel Avengers cartoon, where Thor is constantly being showed up by the Hulk. And now, as far as I'm concerned, the last straw, the HORRIBLY drawn, and HORRIBLY written Let the Battle Begin. Where once again we see the Hulk humiliate Thor, by beating him down with his own hammer! I'm sorry, guys, I can only take so much. It seems like every time Thor "beats" someone, there's some built in "excuse", like the Void wanted to die, or the Red Hulk fight gets interrupted by the Green Hulk. Thor is really the reason I got into Marvel comics in the first place, and now its just one humiliation after another. He hasn't really beaten anyone lately, or done anything impressive at all. All he does is swing his hammer at people and shoot a lightning bolt here and there.

What happened to the Stan Lee days where Thor actually had some respect? Back in those days he was beating the Silver Surfer, fighting Mephisto and taking blasts from Galactus, and now he can't even beat Norman Osbourne's Dark Avengers. What's funny is that even the guys who took down Thor in Siege were surprised themselves! As if to say, "I can't believe it was that easy". I'm sure the Hulk would have come through that fight and beaten them all down. Or it would have at least put up a little bit more of a fight.

So what's the deal? What does Marvel have against Thor?

I couldn't agree more with all of this. After "Let the Battle Begin" I am seriously considering boycotting Marvel. Getting beaten down with his own his hammer by first the Red Hulk, and now the Hulk makes me want to puke. Someone at Marvel really hates Thor. Do you guys think Thor is ever going to win a straight out one on one fight with the Hulk ever again?

Thor on his return was great that version of Odiforce Thor was pretty powerful. Tnaking the destroyer blast, the BOr fight taking on the suepr skrull that owned BRB.

Rulk was no low showing it was rivealed that Rulk aborbs cosmics and mythitcal energies. Thus how he tank Odinforce Thor hits and leveled a watcher. Plus Thor beat Rulk 2 times after ther fact. Then u foes and norman were ampped with the Norn stones which Tor then recovered and went toe 2 toe with void not too bad and it was Thor who put void down in the end anyway

No dont get me wrong he has had his cool moments like when he beat iron man up and fought bor. His story line was cool and oliver coipel did a good job portraying him. Yeah but see I dont care what they say about the red hulk. Because first of all No one, NO ONE should be able to palm mjolnir when Odinforce Thor is swinging it. And ontop of that no one should be able to take Thor into space and beat him with his own hammer. 😘 Did you read the comic where Thor is turned into a hulk and beats up red? well besides the fact that he looked really cool, I was happy that he beat red hulk. This is what I later came to realize however. The fact that Thor beat red up like that while running on "hulk power" is like saying that that power is superior to the odin force. Why would there have been such a difference in the fights if thats not what loeb had been trying to imply. Also while I think that it should have been a little more epic, that was a huge lightning bolt that Thor pulled off against the void at the end. 🙂 That was something.

Agreed.I haven't seen Superman take on a grizzly bear with his bare hands(pun intended) without using powers. And the Man-Beast fight proves Thor knows Martial Arts.

I give Rage a 👆 for those scans.

1. How? I think he gave Kang the only Multiversal scope rating in the book but so what? That doesn't translate into power. He clearly thinks treating and imprisoning Kang is within their capabilities. That's not the case for beings like Thanos and above. Ex: Norman Osborn is international in scope, the U-Foes, Absorbing Man etc. however are national.

2. So what?

I was mostly pointing that out because some people took the status bars in the little descriptions too seriously.

Kang is just a dude without aditional super powers, of course he thinks he can capture him... However, his random scope is just greater than Thanos's 😖hifty:

In the Heroes Guide or the Villains Guide? Either way, it's just a bio. If according to it Thor > someone else, it doesn't matter.

Probably a mistake.

"One wonders if even the Sentry is enough to deal with Thor. While comparable in terms of power, Thor would have the distinct advantage of fighting for his homeland that means everything to him. In short, it will take more than the Sentry to bring Thor down. It will take the combined efforts of all our most powerful resources to take Thor down."

This brought a smile to my face. 😄

Yeah I read that... it's Victoria Hand's assessment on Thor.

Kind of a speed, durability and power feat. Thor resists a blow from hyperion then counters him and sends him flying.
