MJOLNIR'S POWERS

TRANSMUTATION

With the aid of focusing and calibration by Iron Man's Bleeding Edge Armor, Mjolnir unleashes a torrent of divine transformative energy to reverse the transformation that High Evolutionary and Diablo, the Master of Alchemy, render on the Destroyer armor. The transmutations actually affect Thor and Iron Man as well, from Iron Man/Thor #4:

On a far smaller scale, Mjolnir demonstrates its transmutation powers by rearranging the molecules of his outfit to create his armor, from Thor #617:

MISCELLANEOUS ABILITIES

Despite being bereft of the Odinforce, Thor manages to summon forth his stepbrother, Loki, and restore him from death. At first, Loki returns in the form of a boy named "Serrure," which is French for "Lock." When Serrure grasps Mjolnir, Thor restores Loki's godhood (mostly), from Thor #616-17:

The Grey Gargoyle continues his mad obsession with immortality by attacking Thor and Asgard. His ability to turn anything to stone is nearly unparalleled and Thor must thwart that power to prevent him from fulfilling his mad quest... or must he?

Thor vs Grey Gargoyle, from Thor #620.1:

Loved how Thor tricked the grey gargoyle.

I only have one problem in the thor comics and it is that surtur should be way above odin and everyone else because he destroys the whole universe in the pagan lore and is unstoppable and is said even if thor and odin didn't fall in their battles that they would get crushed. Its cool though as he is stilla beast.

Not everything in pagan lore will be translated to the comics.Take for example Cronus in Greek Mythology who has complete domain over time. But in comics, this complete domain over time is given to the abstract Eternity. And let us not forget that the Asgardians in comics for a time had a Ragnarok Cycle(Death and Rebirth).Though I agree with you Surtur is bad ass in comics.

I'm not entirely sure if that happens with all tellngs of Ragnarok. Its funny you should complain about Surtur but if we were to follow Norse Lore Thor would be just as powerful and as wise as Odin.

From Avengers #12.1

Thor One shots the Klaw as well as Modok who was shielded enough to withstand a nuclear explosion.

Thor attacks the newly returned Ultron and causes it to retreat. He also takes a pretty powerful point blank blast and takes it relatively unscathed.

They still do have that cycle, They use to mention that cyclce every other day back in Thor vl 1 and maybe2? They can't mention it now because they skipped it and that means we'd have to wait a few thousands years for it to happen again.

Although Surtur in comics was pretty high up there. They did a good job with him until after ragnarok. He destroyed TWO GALAXIES. He was able to kill both of Odin brothers and everytime odin beat him he had to kill himself. He almost always destroyed the universe if he ever dipped his sword in the flame that makes him fair. Imagine a guy with just the power to destroy the universe walking around and thor just always beats him would that make sense? A guy who has the power to destroy a galaxy then when dips his sword in the eternal flame has the power to destroy the universe sounds more logical. For the most part they did a pretty good job with him, they didn't make anybody on earth able to hurt him (even strange) and thank god not hulk. Unlike ymir where sentry flew right threw him like Thors hammer hasn't tried this move thousand times before.

Well in the comics, Surtur is super powerful but Odin is his equal. The head of the Asgard pantheon is responsible for stopping Surtur from fulfilling his mission.
