Good call. She might also be connected to the collective the Sentry dumped in the sun.

Of course she does, name another one not connected to her in the x-men mythos.

Siryn. 😎

Damn you 😠

I bet she will be revealed as an alternate jean grey's daughter at some point in the future.

Peter David pretty much said the same thing. As did Brevoort.

What colour are Diamond Lil and Firestar's eyes?

BTW Hope would have probably assimilated the qualities of her Foster mother (Hope Summers) in the Cable series hence her appearance.

Jean does not own the rights to being a red head with green eyes.

Name one more female in earth 616 who has red hair, green eyes, a connection to the phoenix force, a green and gold costume and possible telepathy or telekenisis.

By the way, if you say madylene pryor, i will personally hunt you down and kill you with the comic books you obsess so much about.

I doubt it, wasn't she red headed and green eyed from birth? And even before meeting that woman she already resembled Jean a lot as child.

She did seem to emulate Cyclops power though. Maybe she acquired a version of rogue's power when they first touched and she cleansed her. The thing is that she is connected to the phoenix force and therefore to Jean Grey, who is one with the PF now.

(I have updated my theory)
then, knowing marvel and the phoenix, Hope will probably be taken over by the phoenix who'll start to destroy human beings because mutants are the next leap in evolution, and therefore ordinary humans don't work anymore. I can just imagine the cyclops's face when he has to destroy the little girl he's worked so hard to protect. Ah, sweet irony. 😆

it's not like he hasn't been in that situation before... it's just that nowadays, he might be willing to kill her if its possible.

No she was blonde at times in MC too. And I think her eye colour changed too.

The really tragic thing about that would be Cable was right, not Bishop. Bishop saw Hope as the cause of Mutant persecution, Cable as Mutant salvation. Technically if the PF did that, then it would be a form of salvation for Mutantkind....

But if she does indeed cause bishop's future, that means they ultimatelly loose the war she starts and get sent into camps. Although she does at least jumpstart new mutant births that lead into the summers rebellion with layla and multiple. Writers actualy did wrap things up nicely in all teh loose end continuities.

Having her precipitate armaggedon and then have bishop use the doomlock after stopping her, thus erasing the reality he created through murdering the world would be a nice way to rehabilitate the character somewhat. They really doomed him for future use as it is. Made for a really good story and character development though.

I never really understood why both can't be right. Sure she puts mutantdom back on track but there's no reason why s he can't kill 1 million humans too.

So glad to see that you are still ethically stable, exoduscloak.
sadly, x writers don't have as much imagination as we do.

for more info on second coming check ign.com comics section.
nice article.

That would make them both right really, unless Hope manages to kill every human.

But it's not what Cable and the other x-men are expecting from her. The messiah child from Bishop's dimension probably did jumpstart new mutant births (that allowed Bishop, ruby summers, fitzgerald etc. to be born) and eventually mutants bounced back from near extinction at the pogroms set up after the 6 minute war and defeated their opressors, but Cable believes she'll do what he couldn't carry out to the end in providence.

If it were real life, phoenix would kill all humans.
In marvel, she'll decimate most of them, but a couple thousand will survive, all heroes will turn against mutants, making them bring in sentinels, so we'll have another Civil War/days of future past crossover. Oh joy.

The 6 minute war only had a million casualties.

16 millions mutants died in Genosha.
