STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- Chains

He is not.

"Either we can fight it out while we wait for it," Vlad says, "or we can take our chances in the shaft."

"If we can close the door behind us, I say we take the shaft. At least then they wont know where we are for a time," Wentar says. "But if we can't we may as well fight it out."

Benefits and downsides to both options. Which will it be?

Well thats what I said. If Vlad can close the elevator door behind us, before the other elevator gets there then I say we take the shaft. Since they'll be unsure of where we are. Unless we need intrusion to be sneaky in there.

But if he can't we may as well fight it out here.

He doesn't know if he can. He would have re-wire the controls from inside the shaft. He thinks it'd be a waste of time anyway.

Eh, fight it out here then. Better then if we get caught trying to climb the shaft.

One more idea actually. Can we bluff it? Pretend that we were knocked out or something when the soldiers arrive and claim we were attacked?

Too suspicious. Everyone else has been shot to death.

Fair enough.

"I guess we are fighting our way out, Vlad" Wentar says. "I'll be honest with you, I don't know where we go from here. The bridge is our goal, but we cannot take on this whole station by ourselves."

"No, we can't," Vlad sighs. The lift is almost there. "Are we going for the bridge then?"

"I've come this far," Wentar says. "I wont quit now. However... You do not need to come along if you don't wish it, Vlad. I would understand and I am grateful for all the aid you've already provided on this endeavor."

"What kind of Jedi would I be if I left you to die," Vlad snorts. He cocks his blaster as a buzzer indicates that the lift is arriving.

Wentar chuckles grimly and turns to face the lift, activating his lightsaber and holding it up in preparation to engage the inevitable pirates.

Orthodox Guard, Block and Reflection. +1 Armor from Block.

The lift settles and opens.

You suspect they would have sent more men if they had been able to fit them in this lift. The reason they did not is that there is a MASSIVE Herglic inside holding an equally massive war hammer. He steps out ahead of his men.

"NELGRIN SMASH!!"

Wentar steps back out of surprise at first before halting and standing his ground. He stares bravely at the giant, expecting him to start swinging at any moment.

"So you're Nelgrin, I thought you weren't here anymore," Wentar says, readying himself to dodge the war hammer.

"I had him brought back," says an all too familiar voice behind Nelgrin. "I figured with a Jedi in captivity, more were bound to appear."

Hanza is standing behind the enormous Nelgrin, pistol already in hand.

"Hanza..." Wentar mutters, thinking back to when they first met with Officer Quinto. "I see you've stepped up in the underworld. Or am I right in assuming those Stardusters were part of the Srum's operations?"

"Eh, maybe," Hanza says. "I don't remember. My, aren't you a resilient one. Didn't I shoot you?"

Wentar- you sense rising anger in Vlad.

Wentar glances at Vlad for a second, but unwilling to take his attention off Hanza for long.

"I seem to recall you barely making it out with your life after that encounter."

"WHY are you still TALKING?" Hanza groans. "Look, you're boring me. Put down your toys or Nelgrin will 'smash.' Won't you, Nelly."

"SMAAASH!" Nelgrin says.

"Yes, put down our weapons and give you a nice easy way to kill us," Wentar says stubbornly.

Does this look like a fight we can win?
