STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- Chains

Tapped! Only 10 Srum, then.

Most threatening thing is a little vague.

It will take you two turns, during which you'll be exposed to fire.

I meant that if a task master is in range to attack when I move up I'll attack them. If no task master then normal thugs.

Gotcha. So is Wentar going after the pirates or the walkers? I only ask since you expressed interest in slicing one open.

Pirates for now.

I was just wondering about it for future reference.

4-5, the Srum advance up the stairs! They move around Altar, with the exception of one unlucky pirate who tries to leave his presence and triggers a free attack. Altar gladly delivers it.

Wentar tries to evade another attack from a walker, but this time fluffs his Agility roll to get clear. He takes 4 damage, some of the debris and flame bouncing off his shield.

The other walker ties for Loj'oon's guard again, but it is merely a close call. The pirates have better luck, killing three guards. Wentar is attacked by three pirates himself, but Reflects one down. Wentar chops down a pirate too.

The Taskmaster kills two more of Loj'oon's men before Altar and Loj'oon gang up on it.

The slaves shoot down all the pirates around Wentar.

More pirates ahoy!

Hmmm, tricky.

"Altar! We need these walkers dealt with!" Wentar shouts.

Time for risk! There isn't a lot of pirates... Wentar will leap aboard the Walker A and attempt to cut it open

Initiative is yours! And a refresh!

You leap up onto Walker A and start carving your way through the light hatch that protects the driver. Altar does not follow your lead; he finishes off a Taskmaster with a swift blow. Loj'oon assists him, pinging shots off of the other Taskmaster's armor.

Loj'oon's last present guard goes down in the return fire but is the only casualty on your side. The shield absorbs blasts from the walkers, which advance (one with you aboard).

Wentar will keep cutting!

Once that is done I want to see if I can 'crash' this walker into the other one.

Initiative is yours! Wentar has cut away what little protection the driver of the walker had.

Altar and Loj'oon together take down the Taskmaster. The slaves shoot less well this round, and the auto-gun only claims one target.

The driver tries to scrape you off of his walker by ramming the thing against a wall! He rolls one success. You beat it with two on your Agility check. You stay on.

The pirates are firing aimlessly into the shield, hoping to cause a breach. It isn't happening.

The second walker decides that Loj'oon might be a worthy target, advancing and opening fire on the Rodian. He misses! A chunk of stairway where Loj'oon was standing is ripped apart. Loj'oon rolled away just in time.

Okay! Wentar will attempt to dispatch the driver in walker A.

Looking at how things are going I doubt I can catch up to the other walker for my 'crash' plan. I'll probably have to take it out manually.

Still your move!

No contest for Wentar. You run the pilot through and toss him out smoothly. The walker is yours!

Altar cuts down a pirate as more arrive. The slaves are keeping back the pirates coming in, but only just.

Loj'oon spends this turn using the remote to the auto-gun to redirect its attention to the walker plodding up the stairs toward him. He then gets tossed around by a much better blast from the walker.

The energy shield is starting to flicker after a good volley into it...

Can I roll off of pilot to fire the Walkers guns?

Sadly, they are a little heavier than you are used to handling.

Hmmm. Can I set to run into a group of pirates while I leap off?

You could, though mind you these are not large stompy walkers. They're more on the nimble side of things.

Fair enough.

Would that action permanently take the walker out of the fight?

If you set it to crash into something, sure!

Alright, pilot roll to send it charging down the stairs, hopefully it'll take some pirates with it. Then Wentar will leap out once it starts it's trip.

1-2 puts initiative to them! You are still fiddling with the walker as more soldiers flood into the area. With greater numbers, they are starting to split their fire. A couple try shooting at you but walker armor provides great cover! You are unharmed.

Altar is still thriving in this fight! His Cleave protection keeps him safe and a Reflection tap takes out three pirates, in addition to a swipe at one of them.

The energy shield gives out with a crackle as the pirates pour into it. The slaves are exposed.

The walker firing at Loj'oon makes a total miss with all 3s and 4s rolled. The driver is then surprised by a volley of lasers striking the walker and actually punching through! The auto-gun is heavy enough to deal damage to the walker and does 12 points of it.

The slaves return fire and avenge the energy shield with six kills! Loj'oon drops a seventh on there.

And finally, you send the walker crashing down the steps. We'll make it a Pilot roll, with every success past the first two being a crushed pirate. In total, five pirates find themselves in the way of the teetering machine and are promptly flattened.

The walker itself lands on its side and is blocking the stairs somewhat. Only five can advance at a time through that area.
