STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- Chains

Started by Craft81 pages

Excellent! Swap out RF for well, nothing. 😛

Wentar advances again, attacking Taskmaster A.

Evens switched back to them this time.

The Taskmasters keep pouring fire at Altar, who struggles somewhat to keep up with the incoming firepower.

Great rolling from the Srum reduces your forces down further.

As you move in, you suddenly sense danger. You whirl around just as a series of bolts rain down on you from above. You manage to intercept them with your shield and saber, still taking 8 damage from the exertion. It's Hanza! He's up there somewhere...

Altar does not engage the Taskmasters despite their concentration on him. Instead, he swipes through a pair of Srum to stop them from firing on the Guard.

Loj'oon clears the final gunner with a decent volley. His remaining Guards stay close to him and gun down a pirate, while the slaves drop a few more.

The Auto-Guns begin sputtering off shots and clean up what the slaves failed to finish off.

You jump in beside Altar and your lightsaber skitters along the armor of your target for 12 damage.

Need to clean up quick before Hanza turns on the mooks.

They get initiative Tap Orthodox Guard and attack Taskmaster A.

We get initiative Tap Block and attack Taskmaster A.

3-5, your fears are realized! Hanza blasts away Loj'oon's Guards.

Taskmaster A keeps firing away. An Orthodox Guard tap makes you untouchable, especially boosted by your shield. You absorb his shots into your shield then roll 8 successes to turn him into a Srum-kabob.

The pirates pick off some of your men. Altar valiantly chops down two trying to keep them at bay, but his Taskmaster has ordered them to focus on the slaves while himself fires on Altar.

Loj'oon is firing blindly above him, trying to hit Hanza. No such luck.

The combined laserfire of your slaves and the auto-guns leaves the last of the Srum unrecognizeable!

"Grab their supplies!" Loj'oon orders, continuing to fire up at where he thinks Hanza is. "We need them!"

"Altar, finish off that Taskmaster!"

Swap out Orthodox Guard for Focused Guard.

Wentar will move to engage Hanza.

You are not quite sure where Hanza is.

Who is Loj'oon ordering to take the supplies? Me and Altar? Is that our goal here? To grab the supplies and bug out?

Whoever is capable!

Hmmm... Okay, Wentar will grab as many of the supplies as he can carry. Grenades, med packs, ammunition, whatever he can get his hands on. Battleplans would be awesome if they're lying around.

Doing so will leave you vulnerable to blasterfire.

I'll do it, might draw Hanza's fire away from the slaves. I can take more punishment then them.

You certainly draw fire! Gathering up a crate makes you the perfect target and Hanza does not miss the opportunity to try turning you into Swiss cheese. He blasts at you rapidly for 12 damage.

Altar makes a spend on Strike with a Forward Guard to KO the Taskmaster in one swift blow! Impressive. He cuts it in half from shoulder to hip.

Loj'oon is reprogramming the auto-guns to blow apart the area you think Hanza's in.

Wentar is going to move back and hand the crate he grabbed over to one of the Slaves.

I think we can conclude the situation there! You get initiative and, with those auto-guns going to work on the area and Loj'oon and Altar trying to find their way up, Hanza is driven off!

You manage to take the supply point and get away with some of the supplies before the enemy can take it back. Good work.

Excellent! Though we took far me casualties then I'd like.

Anything nifty at the supply point? Extra grenades, mines, etc?

Mainly medical supplies and ammunition! Both very much needed by your forces.

Awesome! Am I needing to distribute these things? Will it improve any med rolls?

Either way good news! What next?

The results are not overall noticeable, rules-wise. They just help your situation and the taking of the supply point counts as a tactical victory!

Which of course helps your offensive move against the pirates. Fighting takes place all over those levels but you lead the punch that gets through their lines! The ratio is 3:2 in your favor but shifts back to Evens, again thanks to their armored walkers.

The result is a 6! Unfortunately your efforts to take the supply point have little effect on the result, since that is a Defenders Lose and Retreating is not possible at Evens. The pirates take hits and one unit is destroyed!

The Scout Walkers remain untouched during that onslaught. Hmm.

The pirates will be moving to retake the ground they've lost and sending in more soldiers. What action does Wentar take?

Can I have Loj'oon's private guard retreat and replace the gap with the Freed Slaves from the Upper Quarters?

You can't move units about during the enemy's turn.
