STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- Chains

The going is more difficult once you drop down into the Maintenance area. You are not sure why he would come down here, honestly.

It is odd... What are the places of note down here?

He has to being going somewhere important I think... Unless he came here to hide.

The maintenance area has a variety of places he could hide out. The largest and most significant room would be the engine room itself, where the massive sublight and hyperdrive units that will propel the ship are located and being worked on. There is a monitoring station that tracks engine functionality, as well as a maintenance workshop for repairing other parts of the station, and a bunch of parts storage.

He wouldn't be by the sublight and hyperdrive units, the staff there would have spotted and reported him to Command I'm sure.

I'm thinking about checking the Workshop or the part storage first...

Let's go to the Maintenance workshop!

Okay! You can thoroughly search one place in a turn. Going through with it?

I don't have too many options here so yes, I'll stick with it.

Your search of the Workshop is a bust; there are a few maintenance men running in and out and repairing minor things but most of the tedious repairs to the massive engines are complete. Nobody else is hiding in there.

The ratio for the battle is actually 5:2, as things stand, heavily in your favor. The continuing pincer attack is wreaking havoc on the Srum forces as they try to adjust themselves to a two-front battle. The result is a 5 and the Srum take heavy losses.

Nelgrin uses his Leadership ability to remove hits from three units, however. Boo...

Also, my mistake- the Assassins actually have a value of 40.

Their turn! They are obviously going to try striking back.

Damn that Nelgrin! Though at least he is tied up in the fighting.

Guess Wentar's next stop is the spare parts storage.

The good news is that he can't do that again.

Spare parts storage is actually a multitude of separate rooms.

Hundreds or dozens of separate rooms?

Dozens.

Hmmm, can I eliminate some rooms by sensing whether they have life in them or not?

Most of them will be empty right now, as the engineers have gotten everything they need in place.

Of course, it can be difficult to sense a Jedi...

Awww, but I'm the living force master!

I guess I'll just have to check the rooms manually.

I did say difficult, not impossible! You'd be pitching each roll against Vlad's Willpower, if he is indeed around down here.

Well I'll go for the roll then, may as well give it a shot.

And this is going to be instead of taking part in the fighting?

Yes. Wentar's starting to get extremely worried about Vlad at this point.

Loj'oons forces can last without him for now, but Vlad might be in serious danger of doing something he'll regret.

Alright. In that case, you can quickly establish that... there's nobody in the part storage rooms. Some of them don't even have parts in them right now.

He must be elsewhere down here...

The Srum decide that if they're going to make any headway, attacking the maintenance area is the best way to go. They begin reopening the sealed hatches and blocked doorways that go down to the maintenance area, and killing those that try to stop them.

Thanks to the particular talents of the Overlord's assassins, they have an edge at 3:2. The roll is a 2, and so a Stalemate. Some casualties are inflicted, but not many.

Your turn!

Moving the Private Guard up to the Markets and attack the hangar from both sides again.

-

Damn. I'll head over to the monitoring station, see if there is anyone in charge there who might have seen someone out of place. I can also check up on the status of the engines while I'm there.
