STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- Chains

You certainly can!

Also- Wentar is down to 10 damage.

Okay! Striking at the Hangar from Maintenance!

If Wentar is able to he will join the fight to try make it a crushing blow.

Will you be bringing the Lower Quarters forces into the attack?

Loj'oon will not be free to fight, but you do have your other allies and equipment to consider.

I think I will. Hopefully this wont blow up in my face, but a massive attack might cause the Srum pause.

How's Altar's health doing at this point?

Altar has been resting, so he is all clear.

Alright, so bring in Altar, leading the Lower Quarter forces, Hloo'jen, leading the Maintenance forces and Wentar can be in the mix somewhere too. 😛

I want the Laser cannon and the box of incendiary grenades brought in for this fight.

Alright! Here we go, then.

At Loj'oon's orders, he actually requests that our heroes precede the attack to ensure that everything goes smoothly for this mother of all assaults that you are launching on the unsuspecting pirates. You will draw the attention toward the renewed offensive coming from the Lower Quarters while the flank from below readies itself.

It will be Altar, Hloo'jen, and yourself trying to disable as many pirates as possible in five turns.

Sounds good! Lets hit them heavy and hit them hard.

Alright!

Using reports from the Lower Quarters, Loj'oon is able to pinpoint a viable target for you, where the Srum are massing for an offensive of their own.

You have a fair few to cut through... and you must destroy at least two-thirds of them by the Start of Turn 6 for this to count.

Srum (G5) x30

Wentar (LS10): 3(1A 1P)/10 [FcGu RF BL] [OGu BG] (4F)

Altar (LS10): 3/0 [OGu RF CL] [FwGu BL] (5F)

Hloo'jen (G8): 1(1PR)/0 [CC ES] (2F)

This is going to be dangerous, but very possible. Keep me updated on possible retroactive reflection kills please.

Are we in immediate attack range or do me and Altar have to close the gap before we can attack?

You are only a turn's distance away from the targets.

Hloo'jen will obviously be hanging back.

Alright, sounds good. I'd like Focused Guard, Bodyguard and Reflection as my starting shticks.

"Hloo'jen, me and Altar will try and draw their fire for you. Give 'em hell," Wentar says, igniting his lightsaber. "Altar, lets keep it steady and not do anything extreme too early and remember, I've got your back."

(My way of asking him to not tap Cleave or his Guard right off the bat.)

We get initiative move up and attack, tapping Focused Guard (Nominating random mook #232 as target) to ward off burst damage, body guarding Altar.

They get initiative add a Bodyguard tap on top of my above orders.

Tapping Bodyguard merely extends the defense to multiple people, rather than doubling your efforts to protect them. So you could tap it to protect Altar AND Hloo'jen, or a group of mooks, etc.

In any case, initiative is yours as the Srum were focusing on their preparation efforts to attack your freedom fighters. They are ready to fight back by the time you arrive, of course, but you came here with a single purpose and enact it immediately.

Wentar and Altar crash into the hordes with lightsabers flashing. Wentar only just gets that kill with a swipe through a pirate's midsection. Altar smoothly cuts down two pirates with a wide blow before falling back behind you.

Hloo'jen, using a heavy pistol, decides to tap Carnival right off the bat. The Twi'lek does not waste his shots- each squeeze of the trigger kills a pirate.

He pumps a Fortune point back into Carnival to revive it.

Having charged directly into their midst, the Jedi each take nine attacks, while Hloo'jen only gets five sent his way. Wentar and Altar each get an automatic Reflection due to "their" Focused Guard nomination being an automatic miss with the tap.

Wentar reflects another off of his shield, too. Only one Srum gets at him for 3 damage, having rolled spot on with two 6s.

Altar fairs a little worse and takes two hits, for 6. So does Hloo'jen.

Srum (G5) x18

Wentar (LS9): 3(1A 1P)/14 [FcGu RF BG] [OGu BG] (4F)

Altar (LS10): 3/0 [OGu RF CL] [FwGu BL] (5F)

Hloo'jen (G8): 1(1PR)/6 [CC ES] (1F)

Altar decides to tap Reflection right away for two extra kills!

Wentar can do two Reflection kills as well.

Oh yeah! That's what I was going for, protecting Hloo'jen and Altar if all 30 fired on us off the bat.

-

Awesome, I would like to get those two extra kills with the Reflection tap please.

Swap out Focused Guard for Orthodox Guard and attacking a pirate.

Wentar nets those two extra kills, then.

Evens! Wentar and Altar keep up their death storm, cutting down three total. From the rear, Hloo'jen taps Carnival again and cleans out another three... which means your mission is a success!

Wentar and Hloo'jen are totally missed, while Altar is simply unlucky. Block reduces three hits down to 6 damage.

Hloo'jen (G8): 1(1PR)/6 [CC ES] (1F)

Does Wentar want to stay and fight or, since you've completed what you needed to do, withdraw to keep your strength?

Withdraw, I'm is not going to push my luck here.

-

Wentar watches as Hloo'jen cleans up three more pirates, their ranks significantly thinned.

"We're done here, let's pull back," he says to Altar, preparing to cover their retreat.

Then you withdraw! The Srum make no effort to follow; you attack was swift and effective.

Since things are overwhelmingly in your favor here- your total score for the assault is 150 to their 90, at a ratio of 5:2- there is actually no way for the Srum to pull off a victory.

The roll is a 1! Not quite what you wanted. That would have been a Stalemate. Thankfully, Wentar's hit-and-run assault on the Srum turns this into a victory for the freedom fighters and a loss for the Srum.

One unit is totally destroyed, and the others are badly damaged.

It is their turn to move their forces about.

Excellent! Things are looking a lot brighter now.

Have there been any reports from the field concerning Vlad or Hanza?

Unfortunately not.

Curses. Are there no station wide lifesigns scanners I can use to try pinpoint his location?
