There is a difference between providing aid and a military occupation. This isn't generally an attack posed at the US on its own, it's more posed to all of the world leaders, they worry far to much about petty profits and military gains, fear mongering and oppression are the game they play.

To think that surprise should come from a Middle Eastern bitterness towards the Western world is rather shocking.
