Vera-Kin will point out that if they had only been trying to save their own skin, they would not have stayed to help Thea. They could have used her as a distraction and fled the planet.

That's a bit vague for them- they aren't sure you could have escaped the planet. it would have been a fight, after all.

Gallagher proposes something.

"Master Vera-Kin did not have this vision simply to hear of prophecy," Gallagher says. "The Force shows us things that have purpose, as it did your Seer when she was given this vision. We are currently hunting Lady Adelmo for crimes she is committing against our Galactic Republic. Her return was a major reason Lady Aquila was made Consul. Without knowing what the prophecy is, I think perhaps knowing this prophecy is important to our search and eventual confrontation.

"Once we detain her, she will never threaten Thalos again."

They'll assure you quite thoroughly that it is nothing to do with Adelmo.

Gallagher is annoyed by this.

"Look, I understand you do not trust us," Gallagher says. "But there is some reason we are supposed to hear this prophecy! I believe we can help you! What progress have you made in deciphering it and deciding how to act on it?"

"Because revealing it to you might be dangerous," says Thea. "That is part of the nature of the debate. If it goes one way- the way Aquila wanted- then it would be important to tell you nothing at all. Even discussing it with you would be akin to making a decision on it."

"That level of distrust is what drove Aquila to the extremes that she took, is it not?" Gallagher says. "From what you know, is there any way that is could be related to us?"

"You don't understand," says Thea. "One understanding of the prophecy would be that you ARE dangerous to us. On that basis, your input would be harmful, not useful. We can't reveal the prophecy to you until we have made a decision on it, at which point your help would not be needed."

"That's very tricky," Gallagher says, crossing his arms thoughtfully. "What do you personally believe, Lady Thea?"

"I think if we carry on as we have been the debate will never be resolved..." she says.

"Not being able to take any action is potentially very dangerous," Gallagher says. "Perhaps this is the opportunity the Assembly needs to break whatever lock has been reached."

Let's hear some other persuasions!

"Perhaps the prophecy requires you to act before you can understand if fully," Wentar suggests. "Perhaps by trusting us, strengthening our friendship, you leave the path that would lead to us being a danger to you?"

That doesn't seem to be doing it, I am afraid.

Totally thought I was on to something too...

Could we try... asking what we could to to prove us trustworthy?

Nah, no time for anything like that. You just need to make a good pitch.

I think this shows that most of our Jedi players are not very trustworthy people in real life. 😛

To be fair, most of us in real life haven't killed several hundred armed soldiers. That sorta makes the trust thing trickier.

I am still flat stuck here. They have many reasons to not trust us and few to actually trust us.

They're not a fan of the Republic.

We've killed many of their people (In self defense of course).

One possible view of the prophecy casts us in a negative light.

Aquila's lies are probably still fresh in their mind...

Hmmm. Perhaps we remind them that Thalos once allied with and trusted the Jedi during the Last War of Men? And that perhaps they can follow the steps of their ancestors and trust us again?

Worth a shot or am I just lookin' silly with this line of thought?

The problem with invoking the Last War of Men is that most of you are men. Still, you are right, they DID ally with the Jedi once.
