USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II EPISODE V (LIGHT SIDE)- Harmony

"It is very simple. I want you to give Vodon my personal assurance that the Financial Reform Act will be passed. He has my word on that."

"Chancellor, how can you say for certain that the FRA will pass?"

(I take it that by now everyone got assembled even though some were working on the debris of the vault)

"Because that is my promise," says the Chancellor. "I will make it happen."

Jovan- yup.

Andro raises his eybrows at the Chancellor's bold statement, but knows better then to offer any comment. He knows all too well what his own foot tastes like to try questioning a politician.

"You seem very confident about that," Vera-Kin says. "A bit harder for a leader to force a bill through when he has an entire Galaxy squabbling over it beneath him. How will you manage it?"

Roan- or someone responsible- this is the Supreme Chancellor you are talking to! You may want to consider the appropriateness of questioning his competence, particularly from someone who is not even officially a Jedi...

Vera- you want to mend bridges? You just set fire to them.

Ahhh. Too late to take that back?

Afraid so! It's much funnier this way.

Jelena, ever the diplomat, will simply give Vera-Kin a look of absolute horror.

"I'm certain the Chancellor can rally the Senate to pass the Act!" Jelena says. "His power may not be absolute, but Palpatine is very influential and respected! Besides, relaying this message will bring stability to Holnex.

"My apologies, Chancellor," Jelena says to Palpatine. "Our Master Vera-Kin is a little... rough around the edges."

Denzral wished to say that the Chancellor was overstepping his role, but the act was needed. He was also surprised at Vera. "Chancellor, was there anything else?"

For the love of God guys. Its PALPATINE!

I'm considering throwing all of you out of the room and talking to him myself, or myself and Jelena!

Common sense, use it.

"I apologize again for some of the outbursts of my less disciplined brethren. However I assure you that we will pass along your message to Vodon. I am confident that it will be a great help to reclaiming the security of the senators to know that you are personally aware, and sympathetic to his situation.

"I knew I could rely on you, Trilanger," says Palpatine. "Rest assured, everything possible will be done to get that act passed. We will not abandon the outer worlds."

Come to think of it where are we?

"Thank you, Chancellor."

"is there any specific wording you would like us to use, Chancellor?"

Andro does his best to hide a smirk at Vera's comment, sicne her words mirrored his thoughts. Loyalty was one thing, and Andro was plenty loyal, but a political claim like that was pretty bold, even for this particular Chancellor. Still, if it helped the Republic, Andro hoped Palpatine was right.

"Was there anything else, Chancellor?"

We are on Telania, a world of vaults further out.

(been busy yesterday & today so I'm slow at posting)

I'll be a stuck up jedi scolar and be shocked at what the others said, since I'm all about listening to the chancellor (if he doesn't contradict the JC)
